I have read some dealers make you sign resale agreement for a year

I don't think you can pass it on to someone else. Only you can buy the truck. There is no way you can lose with a Hybrid top of the line Lariat. Also you may get features with the Lux package, that are being removed on late orders due to parts problems. Also to answer your original question "if I don't pick it up what can I do" the only thing you can do is walk away from it, and let the dealer have it. BAD DECISION!
I agree with you 100% Worst that could happen, is sell it for a quick no hassle, flip to Carvana, or one of the other companys that give you an instant offer and a check when they pick it up. I sold my 2015 Sonata to Carvana and picked up my Maverick in the same day.

Why cant you?
When I ordered my Maverick, on 7/5/21, the dealer said no leases were available on the Maverick. Things might of changed after the first few months of orders taken.
