You know everyone that had posted here is posting Ecoboost numbers right? That is a low number, you must be driving all stop and go and short trips.Well for a non-hybrid Maverick 22.8 mpg is the best I can mustard up!!

My averages are even lower (18-19mpg) but pretty much all my driving has been stop and go to work and back 7mi each way with about 20 stop lights and hills, no highways. And my driving analysis in FordPass Journeys says I accelerate and brake too hard (shocker!!). Might have something to do with it too....You know everyone that had posted here is posting Ecoboost numbers right? That is a low number, you must be driving all stop and go and short trips.
That’s about where I’m at overall. Mostly small “spirited” drivesWell for a non-hybrid Maverick 22.8 mpg is the best I can mustard up!!
Yes I got mine right after the redesigned before they started stacking them higher, tough put a lot of stuff in it, Ran fine, just always sucked on gas for such a small car…My old 2011 Impreza (2.5L) started dipping below 20mpg after about 160K miles. It never did better than 25mpg combined even when new.
even more impressive on snow tires!!I'm half way thru my 3rd tank of gas, just did a highway trip this afternoon, sticking to 100 km/h, taking it easy, saw the city average of around 9 liters/100 kms, drop to 8.5. My average fuel economy indication is about .5 optimistic, so actual combined is close to 9 liters/100 kms, or 26.1 mpg US. Pretty good IMO considering it's full on winter here, and that's on sticky Michelin X-ice snow tires.
That's crazy good fuel economy!Ok, an update on my trucks calculated 38MPG. I filled it up @ about 150mi. Calculated @ the pump I got 34.45MPG or 6.83L/100km for our friends up north. Pretty amazing.
I live in Arizona so “winter” here is 75deg F or 24C so nice. Sorry for all you folks who have to deal with snow every day!
BTW, I have since learned that driving your EB in this manner for prolonged periods is not so good for the direct infection. Build up of carbon and such.
Happy travels!
Wow. That's best fuel economy that I've seen posted anywhere - that works out to 6.1 L/100 kms, or 46.6 mpg Imp.
Wow that's about $5.41 per gallon in the US.. - Better get that economy up to 40 MPGWe're in deep winter now, fuel economy takes a real hit once it snows and gets cold. That 6.7 liters/100 kms indicated was a best case scenario, all highway, steady state 100 kmh (62 mph) speed.
I've got about 1,400 kms on my XLT 4K tow ATM, and am on my 3rd tank of gas. 1st tank average combined was 9 liters/100 kms (26.1 mpg US), and 2nd tank combined average was 8.7 liters/100 kms (27 mpg US). Lots of city driving in the combined.
It's $1.30/liter ATM. High gas prices, and fuel economy figured heavily into the Maverick purchase. The Nissan Frontier I had before was good to me, but a gas hog, might as well have been driving a full size truck.Wow that's about $5.41 per gallon in the US.. - Better get that economy up to 40 MPG
