WOW!!!

Did all you guys complaining, complain to the toilet paper companies when the toilet paper ran out about their supply issues. If not, then logically a product that has infinitely more parts and processes will be affected much more deeply and for a longer period of time.

I understand the sit-com type short attention span, but this is real-life. In manufacturing everything can go right in short run production only to explode in mass-production. How many pieces are mass-produced? To what precision levels are they manufactured to be within the proper specifications? And you are selling it for how much?

On the human level, the lower the price, real or perceived, the greater the demand for said product. If this vehicle was $5000 more the demand would not have been created to this extent and the dis-satisfaction would have ben much lass and civilized. This feeling of entitlement is amazing and is what we have been brought to as a nation politically.

I ordered a Hybrid. I should be picketing FORD, and the dealer that took my order ........but I am not because I understand what it takes to bring a new product such as this to market. I also understand that I ordered a product, NOT THE OPPORTUNITY TO LOOK INTO THEIR DECISIONS FROM THE BOARDROOM ON DOWN because I did not get what I wanted when I wanted it!!!

But if those 10-12 people that can not contain themselves can not handle the pandemic aftermath then by all means, withdraw your order by calling the Ford company itself that will show them that you are serious in your position. It will also push others behind you that are willing to wait closer to the front. It won't help me because I ordered a hybrid!!!

It appears to me that they are having some unforeseen issues and want to get them right before pushing this product out of the door. (I bet you would really scream if you got a faulty car) That said they are looking out for the customers best interest...and their own, which they should, Don't you???
Question: Is it reasonable for those of us with confirmed orders to ask for and receive credible information from Ford regarding our order?...

Fin fan myself, grew up in South Fl. in the sixties.
Nice. I was raised up in West Palm Beach in the 80s. Haven't had this much hope for the team in decades now that TB is out of the division.

Im so confused on if i have a build date or not. got my VIN from ford customer service with last four of 60xx but never received any emails and dealer is very out of the loop on the process.
Did you create an account on Ford.com? If you did then you can enter your VIN number and get more information about your vehicle. You can also call Ford Customer Service and give them your VIN and they can tell you more information about you vehicle including if you have a build week scheduled. :)

So lets say they have 30k orders (estimated by the reputable dealers). Ford Dealers are also saying Ford will produce 10k Trucks this year. Lets say an average of the 30k orders is 65% Hybrid. Assuming everything is on schedule to hit the 35% hybrid production numbers and this no hybrid thing is only a cleanup week delay, here are some projections;

Ford has roughly 19,500 Hybrid orders
Ford might produce 3500 Hybrids this year
Ford has roughly 10,500 Ecoboost orders
Ford might produce 6500 Ecoboost this year

Some of these numbers are obviously estimates based on what we are seeing on this forum, so take them with a LARGE grain of salt. But it does put things into perspective.
How dare you bring reason and math into this argument! hahaha. I agree with your assumptions and still works for me.

Just saw this:

Ford says the 2022 Maverick Hybrid remains on track (msn.com)

Muddies the waters a bit. Ford had stated earlier that only Ecoboost Maverick were begin built for STOCK orders (dealer floor plans), and all Hybrid orders were for RETAIL.
Well there you go! This article should help all those on the forum who want to hear from Ford about hybrid builds. If this article is to be believe FORD has stated no stock hybrids are being built, only Retail!! I don't how much cleared it can be stated!
Thanks for posting this article! Maybe a few can now chill out. (y) (y) :)

Well, hey, if that math were to turn into reality I MIGHT have a shot at getting my June 21st hybrid built in 2021.

article does NOT address "no hybrid sheduling until further notice". Ford's reply email only refers to already scheduled hybrids, no new info.

Question: Is it reasonable for those of us with confirmed orders to ask for and receive credible information from Ford regarding our order?...
What would that answer be? Would you be satisfied with it? What if they do not know the hard answer to give you more than what is available all over the news, and forums. Maybe you have not noticed and heard about inflation which is occurring right now. It is called supply-side inflation because there is PRIMARILY not enough supply OF A PRODUCT, and that supply is constrained for any number of reasons. So you want them to tell you what is obvious to everyone in the world. Or, is this a conspiracy leveled only against people that ordered Ford Mavericks?

This reminds me of traveling with a small child that asks the question every 2 minutes, Are we there yet?, Are we there yet?

The other issue is that the more internal info they give you they give that same info to the competition.

However, the solution is very simple.....you can simply walk away!

yes maybe all true. But this is their job and they have been doing it for years. This isn’t some new thing they are trying out. What is new is customers ordering their first new vehicle and have no idea how any of this works. So finding out the hard way.

P.S. For some of us, this is our biggest purchase (or second biggest) of our life’s. So we expect a little more transparency.

This is from an article posted on Aug 3rd. It sounds like that even back then Ford understood getting the hybrid out was going to be a struggle.

Due to limited production allocations and ongoing pandemic-related supply issues, the only hybrid models that will initially be delivered to dealers will be sold orders.

Per a dealer representative on MaverickTruckClub.com, this is expected to be the case for the first two months of Maverick's rollout – at minimum – as the company has at least that many verified retail orders in the system. Hybrid engines will reportedly represent 35% of the initial production volume, ramping up to 40% after inventories stabilize against incoming orders.

I think you're not really giving consideration to the fact that this entire thread is based on internal leaked documents. Yeah they get leaked out regularly, but they are not intended for public consumption. Does that mean when they get leaked and misinterpreted it can cause an issue, or a panic, or a...whatever this thread is? Sure - but then when we ask Ford to clarify, and they repeat basically what was previously publicly stated - shouldn't that end the misinterpretation? We can't realistically expect a large multinational corporation to hand-hold every single potential buyer through the process from start to finish, nor should we.

Isn't some new thing they are rolling out...

Well, yes, it is, on both fronts: production and order processing.

When in the last 100+ years(Ford Motor Company, 1903) did you correspond with an auto manufacturer about orderin a vehicle built to your specifications? When did you last even ORDER a vehicle built to your specs?
Add in that this is essentially a NEW MODEL, partially based on the Bronco Sport, which was new within the last year, and you do have a bit of a NEW thing going on, and I know of no precedent.
Even back in 1958 when the Edsel was launched, there was nothing like what is happening now. It IS different.
If you want a weekly(daily?) email notifying you that you are in line for production, why not make one up amongst those who desire one, and mail it to each other? The manufacturer had better things to do than mollify adolescent customers who just can't wait.
E.g.
Baby: I want a cookie.
Mom: What do you say? (expecting PLEASE)
Baby: I WANT IT NOW, in loud voice.
No please nor a thank you after.
So, are we there yet? Nope. Will all the caterwauling and exclaiming I WILL CANCEL!!! help things? Nope.
Decades ago I ordered from a dealer in Michigan, being in the service. Totted up the base and options, and wrote a check. Sent it off in the mail. Several months later I got a call that the vehicle was ready. Not weeks, months.
Live your life, and get over how long this process takes, or move on. This product or non-product is not the end of the world. There are a lot of things going on that really should attract more attention than they do. This manufacturing behemoth will eventually get moving, and spit out what you want. When it is ready.
Rant off.
