I was thinking the same coming from an AWD Ridgeline. Then I remembered that I went up a fairly rough service road, pretty rutted out, and saw a FWD Corolla parked at the end by a lake.
For me the Maverick provides the ground clearance to alleviate concerns, but I would consider thicker / additional ply tires as gravel roads are super hard on tires. Note: FWD vehicles also rut the road up worse for others.
