At present my wife and I share a RAV4 Hybrid. It is a great vehicle, overall average is about 40 MPG (same as the EPA Estimate). It drives well, has a lot of space, and is fun to drive (for a small SUV). My assigned vehicle at work (which I take home, the reason we get by with one car right now) is a 2021 Camry LE 2.5. It has an average of 34 MPG over the 26,000 miles I have put on it so far. All the Camrys we bought this year are hybrids, I am sure they are off the charts in the MPG department considering how well my gas Camry is doing.
I actually ordered a 2023 Maverick hybrid when the banks opened, then I changed it to a XLT Tremor. I don't drive that much so gas mileage isn't a huge concern. When it is, I'll take the RAV4 anyway. I decided I would rather have AWD than a hybrid. If there was a AWD hybrid Maverick I would have stuck with that, no reason not to save on gas. I am hoping I can replace the Tremor in a couple of years with a plug in hybrid or all electric AWD Maverick.
