Hood deflector recommendations?

I’m looking for the hood deflector that has the small hump on it toward the windshield side of the deflector. All the matte ones ive found are just flat. I ordered one online from a company that showed the hump but when I got it, it was flat. I think Lund makes one but can’t find it for the Mav. TIA

I think they discontinued that style due to hood vibrations at speed. It was removed from the ford site, I think lund was making both of the ones ford was selling, and that one is just gone now.

yes they were discontinued. I searched all over for one, even called Lund to see if they had any in the warehouse. Nope no luck there either

Probably a slim chance of finding one now. I got mine back in 2022 shortly after a rock cracked my window. Does a fantastic job of keeping anything from hitting the windshield, bugs, rocks, etc.

I'd try local dealerships that might still have one back on a shelf in storage. My local dealer found some in storage that were noted as discontinued. Part VNZ6Z-16C900-C , replaced with VNZ6Z-16C900-A(without the bump.)

My flat Lund (smoke) works just fine after about 10 months and no vibrations to worry about. I'll buy another when the 2024 gets here. I like the look and the bug protection on that leading edge.

Do they use “sticky tape” or attach by screws (push pins?). I do not have my truck yet, but should get it by mid March (build week 2/12). The first thing I want to do is install front bumper and hood/fender PPF from 3M. I already have them. The hood film is only about a foot long from front to back. I have a 1997 Tahoe since new and have never lost a windshield with a bug deflector on..

The Ford accessory (Lund) uses 3M tape strips.

I have this one from RealTruck. Its install was easy enough and it works better than the taped-down one. The taped-down one looks great and protects the leading edge of the hood but that is it. This one provides a little windshield deflection.

How has this been holding up, any vibrations or hood flex? And does it actually do a decent job preventing rock chips and bug splats? And if you have any pics you could share.

There is no noticeable hood flex and seems to make a little difference on the bugs that reach the windshield. These trucks still seem to have rock magnets implanted in the windshield.
