What’s the terrain? What’s the weather conditions? It all has a big impact. But generally speaking the Ecoboost should do mid to high 20’s. That’s what I see in my trucks at 75 on hilly Kentucky terrain.

Summer, so a/c on. Mostly flat, 25 % rolling hills.

This Summer went from Tn. To las Vegas To Ca. All on interstate 40 this trip . In my 22 XLT Hybrid . Ran from 65 MPH to 85 MPH . My Maverick loved 67 to 69 MPH 👻👍🙂. It got 42 to 44 MPH ON THE ROAD !!!! Tires 35 PSI 1700 MILES on Truck and new oil Mobil 1 full synthetic 0/20 and filter . At 70 and above down to 34 to 32 MPH . At 5 00 $ a gallon I slowed down 👇. 🤔👻🇺🇸

For what it's worth I just made a 350 round trip from my home (St. George, Utah) to Richfield, Utah. Speed limit is 80, cruise set to 82, drive mode set to "Slippery". Elevation changes from 3000' (home) to 8000'. Very mountainous terrain, but all highway. I averaged 26.8 MPH up and 27.1 return.

If I leave drive mode in slippery and drive cautiously I can eek out 27 in town. Driving "normally" I net about 23.5 in town.

This is in a '22 EcoBoost XL, FWD.

So highway mileage you are getting 8 mpgs better than rated while going faster than the test they run? Doesn't make sense with laws of aerodynamics.

If I Reset the counter and hit the freeway immediately up to 75mph I can average 30-31mpg using Premium gas. This at 5,400’ elevation in Colorado in a loaded Lariat 4K/Lux Ecoboost.

Mid 30's in the winter (depending how cold), high 30's in the summer

There is a considerable difference in fuel economy between driving 70 MPH and driving 80 MPH.
I can get low (very low) 30s in my EB if I keep it to 70 MPH. It drops 4-5 MPG if I drive closer to 80.

I don't think any Maverick, regardless of engine is going to get real world 40 MPG driving 80 MPH. Maybe at a steady 60 MPH...maybe.
