Hi all,
My 2.0 EB starting exhibiting some weird behavior in the fall... namely that it started not wanting to come off high idle. This happened both when I started the truck with the remote start and when starting it with the push button as well. It's not related to being really cold as it will happen when it's above freezing as well.
I've had the truck run for the full remote start cycle before it shuts itself down and the idle stays up at 1400-1500RPM. I've got in and the temp gauge is halfway to full operating temperature and it's still on high idle.
I took the truck in to one of the local dealerships and to say they haven't been confidence inspiring is a MASSIVE understatement. I figured it would be pretty cut and dried - let it sit outside for half a day, hook up all the diagnostics, and see which sensor is flaky and needs to be replaced. Apparently not... the first time they completely didn't understand the problem and told me the truck was fine. The second time after an explicit conversation with the Service Manager who assured me that he understood and would oversee their efforts himself, they proceeded to note the behavior but without any diagnostics hooked up... and then after it was all warm and they key cycled it, the behavior didn't happen again so they said it was functioning properly.
I'm getting pretty frustrated by the whole thing and am hoping maybe someone else on here has experienced this behavior, and if so can provide insight into what the fix was.
