My seat covers are padded, so they are pretty thick. I tried the seat heater and did not even know it was on, so the extra padding blocked the heat.Wrong. The seat covers do nothing with effectiveness of the seat heaters. Mine have had seat covers since day one.
What vehicle would you recommend at 40k that gets 40mpg, has a bed, comes awd, and can fit in a normal size single car garage.Maverick options pricing has really gotten crazy now. Options were already relatively high as a % of base price, but the '25 options packaging is really expensive. My view is that the Maverick was primarily designed as a 20-25K truck and the materials, sound deadening, features and build reflect that. Plastic fantastic. No matter how many options you throw at it, it's just not a luxury or near luxury vehicle. The real value is that the XL trim level. At 40K it doesn't make sense.
Therefore I think the move is to keep it as close to 30K as you can, which is getting tough to do with '25 pricing. I bought a '24 XLT with a 32,455 MSRP for 29,650. You can get 2K+ discounts now with a little work.
I really don't think you need AWD in FL, or Lux for that matter. You can add what you want as you go.
In Canada it is closer to $50k for the Lariat Hybrid, especially when adding BAP, 4k towing and tonneau. My salesman and I crunched the numbers when I ordered mine as I was leaning XLT Lux and it made sense to go Lariat for the extra $1k-$2k. Obviously, everybody is different and for some $1k-$2k is a deal breaker.let's face it. I'd love to get the Maverick Lariat but don't have or want to spend $40k+
At the moment co pilot and lux package sound perfect with the Hybrid XLT trim.

AWD, If I get this I'd prob add on 4k tow package.
- Will my fuel economy suffer?
- This is a long term thing, will hold its value more and what If I tow
- Do I really need it?
What I intend to use this vehicle for:
- Commute daily on flat land, mostly pavement 90%.
- Carry lots of bikes, camping gear, weekend projects.
- Occasionally carry a motorcycle in bed or 2 motorcycle on a trailer.
- I also drive in the snow mostly dec and or jan, again occasionally.
- I like the Idea of future proofing with AWD + being able to tow as long as MGP is not too off.
----
Important features I'm after with Lux package:
ā¢ 400W Inverter (Cab + Bed Includes Cubby Cover) with USB Console Rear - Can I add this later?
ā¢ LED Box Lighting - Can I add this later?
ā¢ Remote Start SystemI can add this later.
----
Features to add
Bed Tie Down Locking Rails with 2 Locking Brackets - Can I add this late
Keyless-Entry Keypad (Wireless) ā MIC - Can I add this later?
Yes, my deal breaker was vinyl seats (synthetic leather active wear). Another deal breaker was the lux pkg in 24 came with a drop in bed liner that could not be upgraded or deleted. Both of these for me was deal breakers. Everyone has them and some are willing to live with them, I wasn't. You are 100% correct there are deal breakers and sometimes it's not just the money or cost.In Canada it is closer to $50k for the Lariat Hybrid, especially when adding BAP, 4k towing and tonneau. option B unless you plan on DIY stuff.let's face it. I'd love to get the Maverick Lariat but don't have or want to spend $40k+

I know I'd use this, kind of unfortunatethe only thing it has that you cannot easily buy separately is the 400w inverter. technically you can buy that part and wire it but it's not plug and play like the bed led or rails.
I'd be doing everything, I'm handy and have worked on cars before. The thing you need to realize it's still going to cost you for parts and maybe labor.
THIS!!! i wish i could but I keep my cars 10-12 years. Therefore I think the move is to keep it as close to 30K as you can,
Ok I need your insight. I've owned nothing but Honda and Toyota made. Long term is key. I know f-150s are amazing but where is Maverick for reliability and longevidity. The long list of recalls scare me greatly. Tacoma, Ridgeline, f-150 are wayyy to much truck then I'd need. + Maverick is totally different from the trucks I mention.I ordered a 25 and owned 3 previous Mavericks (Lariat and XLT models) so my honeymoon is over and now getting only what I need but other buyers will have different priorities.
I also go up to northern MI once in a while. Again just trying to buy once and cry once kind of thing.Being you appear to be in FL you most likely don't need the AWD
I am so happy with the LUX package in NY the heated seats and steering wheel are great, I have a bad back and use them all year long, also the remote start is also great, used it last night for first time this year whatever your setting are in cab come on when you remote start, AC, heat, etc. as for the 400 w it stinks you can charge a tool battery or maybe a small light and remember the truck has to be running. What about option C?
Which is option B with the Lux package

Yes retail is an additional 1890 but you might be able to shave a little off that. And yes you might be able to add certain options you want later. The thing you need to realize it's still going to cost you for parts and maybe labor. So if 1890 and not sure the cost but you should deduct what it would cost you to add what you want later. Still those times you are driving in snow you will appreciate the heated seats and steering wheel. You may even appreciate the power drivers seat if you have another driver and having to re-adjust the seat often. Not trying to make your decision more difficult but I would make sure you get what you want.
Me I don't tow often but when I do I want to be able to without jeopardizing the vehicle. 2nd in bad weather or bad road conditions I want the best traction I can get or have available. Yes I still have to worry about other drivers on the road but there is something to be said for confidence or peace of mind.
Every person has to weigh what they want versus cost. To be frank, for the price of the vehicle it's not that much more. Best of luck with your decision and your new Maverick. Keep us updated on your build. If you decide on 4k tow I would definitely wait for build 2.

Big mistake, Co-Pilot 360 is worth it. What kind of price can you put on safely. When ordering at the dealership, adding the Lux package dropped the Copilot 360 to $0, so it became much more attractive. I'm going with a hybrid AWD XLT with the Lux package as the only add on.
