Hello everyone. After waiting some years I finally traded my '19 Grand Caravan GT for a '26 Lariat Hybrid Maverick. It's the first new vehicle I've purchased in decades, my retirement buggy.
The difference in the driving experience is stark, the Maverick is so much more like the '13 Escape Titanium I got rid of for the space in the van (having three granddaughters and two dogs will teach one to appreciate minivans). The van was great and will be missed, but I no longer live near the grandkids and puttering around town in the van was getting me 17-19MPG even though I drive like a granpa so the hybrid MPG made it an easy sell for thefinance manager better half.
I live in hilly/mountainous country near Redmond, WA and it rains here for weeks over winter, the van would always want to roast the right front tire in the hills. I've had the Maverick for just a short while and it's as sure-footed as the '13 Escape was.
Sadly the car will live outside in the woods so it's going to get dirty (the van had moss growing on it!). Such is the life of the utility vehicle. Mud flaps seem like a must.
Cheers!
