So today starts the second year of my Maverick order...Cactus Grey Hybrid XLT with Lux Pkg, CP360, Sliding Rear Window, Floor Liners, and Smokers Pkg., conformed 06/29/2021!
Good News :)--- I have a VIN and a build date (#4) of 08/15/2022
Neutral News --- if the build date holds (the last three have not) I should have my Mav in October/November 2022
Bad News  --- It looks like I will be getting a brand new MY22 Mav as the MY23 Mavs are rolling off the line...instant one year depreciation!

Fortunately I did not need a new vehicle when I ordered - still don't. The Maverick Hybrid just clicked all the right buttons. I knew when I ordered the Mav had not started production and I would be waiting. I have remained patient through all the supply chain disruptions and constraints.

The one complaint I have is with the Ford build allocation system, or more precisely, the fact that Ford was not up front with the fact that if you ordered from a small dealership (few allocations) your order would be placed at the back of the que. As recently as last Thursday Ford Customer Service reiterated that, in addition to the parts constraints on my order, the fact that I placed my order through a small dealership was delaying production. As the Customer Service Rep put it ... Ford prioritizes orders through larger dealerships. Had I known this when I was ordering would I have changed dealerships? I honestly don't know...but at least I would have been forewarned.
