After my first oil change. I knew I had to find a better tool for removing the 15 splash pan screws, than the ones pictured below.👇

I found this one at harbor freight for $10. Probably cheaper on Amazon.
I used it Thursday for my second oil. It worked great.

I don't buy much from Harbor Freight, but I really like the stuff I do get there. Looks like a nifty little screwdriver, and much easier than what you were using when underneath the truck.

So you're saying my 1/2" drive Milwaukee M18 impact might be a bit much?

HRG
Never tried my 1/2 inch Milwaukee impacts for this(I use my baby M12 impact driver). But I'm pretty sure if they can take off rusted semi-truck lug nuts, you won't be reusing any hardware for the splash pan:crackup:

Hmmm... glad I saw this thread. I found the head, washer, and broken off bolt laying in the driveway by the front of my Mav. I wondered where it came from but haven't looked yet because of the cold. If it is one of the 15 aforementioned bolts it looks like I'll have to get the broken part out and replace the bolt before I find the panel flapping in the breeze and falling off.

My tools are still elbow grease powered.
Good to know where to obtain inexpensive tool if I decide to change my ways.
$9.99 is a good price for cordless screwdriver.

A bag of these come in handy. They are for Fords.

This little guy should be in everyone's toolbox. I've used mine hundreds of times when I couldn't or didn't need to use the bigger boys.

I've never had a problem with my low power old as dirt Black & Decker versatiles. I quickly realized, on my first oil change, that they were not a good size or weight for me. Either too long or just a little too big and heavy for my shoulders.
I knew the size I wanted, I just had to find it. I really only bought it to use changing oil. I don't know how often I'll use it, other than that.
The fact that it doesn't have a torque setting really doesn't bother me. At 70 years old, think I can pretty much judge when a sheet metal screw is tight without having a torque setting on it or pulling out a torque wrench. 🤣
