Great fuel economy aside, I'm pretty satisfied with the hybrid powertrain.

I have a 23 XL. The transmission is buttery smooth, and the engine feels like it has plenty of torque with the electric assist. I can consistently crack 50mpg on the way to work without much effort, and high 40s on the way home. A 240 mile trip on the turnpike between 75-85mph and cruise on got 35mpg, and it was a nice highway ride too. Power wise, no issues of any kind merging or taking off. I haven't had more than 300lbs in the bed yet, so I can't comment on how it feels while hauling lol.

I agree. Have the First Edition in Rapid Red since 10 Oct. Mostly rural driving and averaging over 35 mpg. Only issue so far has been the grabby brakes, but had Duval Ford in Jacksonville do the service bulletin software update and installed new sensor...and all is well. Virtually no more Grabby brakes. Super happy. And it flat tows behind my Winnebago View super easy, getting 13 mpg on the Winnebago! 😊👍

I have had close to max payload in my bed, and the steering feels really light but the power feels the same.
Nice, I figured the steering would go a little light. I'm pretty sold on this hybrid truck thing, that little engine really feels torquey with the electric assist.

Same for me. There's the complaints about things like the brakes but they're just something to get used to. I was ready to not like the "lack of power" but that's not the case. Acceleration and cruising are great. Very happy.

I'm a hybrid convert. I'm convinced that in 2023, full ICE engines are completely unnecessary and wasteful for the vast majority of drivers (obviously there are some exceptions). A hybrid can do everything you need it to, and do it well, and also gets great fuel economy

My MPG has been steadily improving. Probably due to it breaking in, my getting used to EV coach, and the warming weather.

Same for me. The hybrid powertrain is pretty slick with everything working in tandem and so balanced. For a technical guy it's pretty interesting.

One week old Maverick. Impressed how solid it feels and handles. I have had many many vehicles, and for a truck, this one is nice. Hope to feel this way in a year..

I was worried about owning a buzzkill CVT, but this E-CVT with the hybrid is slick.
Ownd mine since June 2022, 20,000 KM. Towed this for about 5000 KM.

1440lb trailer, 5100lb combined. Average about 26mpg while towing. The E-CVT and hybrid system keep things in the sweet spot. No annoying gear hunting.

I've only had my '23 XLT Hybrid for 4 days now but I am super impressed so far. The truck had 27 miles on it when I picked it up at the dealer and the average fuel economy was at 21.9mpg. I'm at 260 miles now and the average fuel economy has climbed to 35.9mpg. This has been a mix of high speed (80+mph) and city streets (25-35mph). I still have half a tank of fuel left from the initial dealer fill up.

I really feel like there is no penalty for getting the hybrid. It has enough power to easily keep up with traffic. The eCVT is unintrusive and works well with the hybrid drivetrain.

I've been saying for... hmmm.... 18 years now the eCVT and hybrid powertrain is well-suited for towing. The gen-1 Hybrid Escape towed well for me for years.
