Gibson Exhaust sound on 2.0L EcoBoost?

Has anyone put the Gibson catback exhaust on their Maverick or has anyone heard how it sounds?

I would like to know also. I have had a gibson exhaust on a previous 4.0 SOHC Ranger and a 5.4 F150. Both were good quality and good sounding kits.

I've looked all over the internet and even called Gibson, but still can't find a sound clip or even found somebody who's running the exhaust on their Maverick.

No, can't find a sound clip anywhere. Will probably install exhaust in the spring.

Yeah, it's a shame, I love the minimal look with chrome tip. I might pick one up on blackfriday if the deal is good enough.

I am also liking the looks and sounds of the AFE exhaust. Not as discreet, but from what I have heard it only really makes noise when WOT.

A lot of the sound is determined by the diameter of pipe and diameter and type of tip used.

When the Ford suitcase rusts out here in a few years I plan on replacing with an aftermarket muffler but keeping the factory diameter for the pipe size and also just angling and tucking the pipe under the rear bumper valance with no tip.

I think that will keep things pretty quiet as I am mostly after a slight weight reduction.

Does anyone know if the pipe is the same size of different? who makes the muffler for Ford. Is it less restrictive than the stock one of just louder. Can you just buy the muffler? I can get a lot of exhaust options for less than a thousand dollars!
