I talked to a friend today who works for a major OEM and his comment was the logistic chain is in total disarray. Parts shortages at all levels of the build from fastners to complete sub assemblies in the US and over seas. His comment was if you have What you need today you may be out of it the next day. He not only has to contact the manufacturer but also follow the truck and rail shipments from the supplier to final delivery. With common parts moving them between plants borrow payback. He also commented on slow processing in customs. The manufacturers are struggling at all levels of the supply chain. Supplier lead time is out of control. OEM’s are very good at material forecasting for production. Hard to factor in todays problems. I wish them well.
This is spot on. I see it daily. It is chaos.

See you this time next year....to put in your 2024 order as a replacement for the 2023 Ford didn't manage to deliver!

Good luck, I hope you don't have to wait a long time. As of today I have been waiting 246 days (over 8 months) for my Maverick order and I am one of the people who doesn't have one who has been waiting the least amount of time. My order went into production last week so I'm expecting a total wait of around 10 months.
I ordered mine sept 18 2021. Conformation sept 21 2021. Ford moved me to a 2023 build last week!

Jim Farley wants a lot of things that just aren’t happening.
Every additional time I see or hear him speak, the more I think his is a phony.

No reason for salesman to lie. I am sure he was given that info from Ford. Let’s not forget it is all about allocation , some might be sooner others longer. Percent of Hybrid vs 2.0 fry wheel or AWD and trim levels. 143 is going to be avg not actual.

Per this Ford doc dated August, 30, 2022, 18-20 weeks is Ford's estimated lead time from order receipt to delivery.. as I said early, this 143 day "average" isn't far off. Everyone wants to comment not to believe a salesman, blah, blah, blah. It's just an estimate.. some will arrive much sooner, some much later.

Good luck with at 143 days.
I’m on day 330 and anticipate another 100 days to take delivery of my 22 XL scheduled for November.
Shipping alone maybe 45 days.

Thats an aggressive schedule… 18-20 weeks sounds like the best possible scenario but who knows.

Sounds like realistic expectations.

I hope it arrives sooner.

He is. He's an actor, playing his part. "Selling" the Ford brand in hopes the stock price rises.

been waiting since sept 16, 2021 got notice I was in production two months ago and still sitting there with no end in sight-XLT Model-called ford and they know nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So you think they can do a 2023 in a 143 days-if you cannot belive ford than what makes a dealer any more reliable-remember that when they start turning these mavericks around in shorter time they will also give up padding the msrp as much-in production does not mean it is being built-it means you got a vin and a window sticker that most likely is priced higher than your initial order????????????

I ordered on Oct. 14, 2022 my XLT Hybrid. Was notified a couple of weeks ago it will be rolled over to a 2023 model year (at my locked in 2022 pricing). Still no VIN assignment, so no estimated production time frame, but was informed my Priority # changed from Priority 19 to Priority 10. Bottom line, it has been 347 days since my order was placed and still no VIN assignment.

And I received my 22 from order to delivery in 97 days (17 of those days were shipping), depends on what you order and how quickly Ford can get it to your dealer (y)

I talked to my salesman just after he got out of his Monday morning briefing. He said he learned in the meeting that Ford is intending to deliver 2023 Mavericks in 143 days! I am assuming that means time from "in production" to delivery. I didn't question him, as he was very busy and working a 12 day.
Has anyone else heard of this?
The clear flaw in that was all ordered for the 2023 took place in about 4 days. So obnviiuos that has to be spread out across the entire year.
