Long story short, I got check engine light on Maverick initially at 1700 miles then for every 500 miles there after. Currently I am at 3200 miles after a month and half..Dropped of the car at the dealership and they indicated that the engine needs to be replaced. They didn't get into specifics of what went wrong. I am due for engine replacement even before I made the first payment. (I received P0811 error code on ODB scanner)

Timeline...Ordered in June First week. Took delivery on January 27. First check engine light on Feb 10 @1700 miles. Currently at 3200 miles.

Dealership was able to get me a rental and hopefully this will be resolved soon.

Update

04/05 - Received the car after a month. Dealership informed me that it took 30 days to receive the replacement parts and 2-3 days for replacement. I was happy to get back into my car.

First Impression - Truck was smooth and quiet before the parts replacement and now it sounds like a transformer truck - During initial start and upto 40 miles per hour, engine makes noise that sounds like a mini version of F-150 + sounds from electronics. I informed the dealership the same, they were pretty occupied to look at it again. Also, I am in-between moving half way across the country, so I can't leave the car at the dealership for another month.

I drove above 500-600 miles after the repair, but not happy with way truck sounds now.

I am having mixed feelings to take truck for long drive, but I don't have another option at this point of time. I have another 2500 mile trip over the next 2-3 weeks. Hopefully truck can make it through.

Wow, that's a bummer. Like probably everyone who reads your post, I wonder what was wrong with your engine. Hopefully they will let you know!

As mentioned, dealership didn’t give out details. When I initially spoke to them, they said dampener needs to replaced. I am not a car guy, so not sure how this plays into it.

Google says the code is Excessive clutch slip. I wonder if you have a electric motor issue not a engine issue

This is an absolute disaster for any new car owner.... But the dealer came thru and so did Ford. These are the stories that can go south real quick if the service center and Ford would give the runaround.

Please keep us posted in the meaning of the code (excessive clutch slippage? from what comes up) and how everything turns out for you.

I had a 1995 Thunderbird it had 3 engines in it before it hit 50,000 miles. The dreaded 3.8L POS engine. Luckily it was all under recall warranty. Hopefully we won't have anything like that.
