I have never used them before, but with the added height of the Maverick I would consider installing one to make oil changes easier. Would be interested to know if anyone here has experience with them.
Thanks,
Mike

Have one on my Subaru. Single best “maintenance” item I’ve ever added. Oil changes are a breeze!

Thank you - looks like an excellent idea. As soon as I get my truck I will see with one fits and go for it.

I installed a Fumoto on our 2017 Outback at the first oil change. Makes life easy. I got the one with the little "lock clip" just for peace of mind.

Could this with a drain hose negate the removal of the skid plate on the FX4 for oil changes?

I have used these on all of my vehicles and love them. Just need to see which size/version fits the Maverick.

I see you just received your truck. Would you please post what valve it is you used if you decide to use one? Thx

When the weather warms up I will look underneath and see which one I will use.

You still need some access to lift the lever from its locked position and slide it over to the open position.

I have a Fumoto on my motorhome.....love it.
It's been on just over a year and zero problems/leaks.
When they become available I'll seriously consider putting one on my Maverick.

Fumoto is awesome. I wish they had an attachment for the filter, too.

As I get older, perhaps a Fumoto for ME>

Have one on my 18’ Mustang GT. Changing the oil with the stock drain plug all 10 quarts of hot oil rush out at once. Makes quite the mess and overwhelms the drain/recycle pan.

Unpopular opinion: use an oil extractor!

HF Oil Extractor
I use an extractor on my boat’s outboard engines. Much better than trying to catch the oil before it goes into the water. The Fumoto has been on my MGB and S2000 and makes life easier - BUT wire it shut / use the “new” safety option.
