TSR, and pensacola is quite a drive for me you may be too far

You can order the Forscan 'approved' cable for ~$30(as of today $25.71 shipped- search for 'Vgate Vlinker FS ELM327') from aliexpress.com . Forscan is available at no cost(at least for a trial), and you can ask in another thread dedicated to Forscan 'mods' for help and likely get step-by-step instructions and a ready to jump in and help peanut gallery.
And, after, you will have the ability to do other things... and diagnose any DTCs. Maybe even change some settings.

Do changing settings using Forscan void the warranty? I could see me trying to change something and forcing the engine to run on one cylinder.

I mean it's possible if you get a dealership with a really crappy service department, but it is highly unlikely. If you are worried about screwing up using Forscan, you can always used your saved file to restore your truck to as built. I've had my XL in for 2 oil changes and 3 recalls and not one mention of voiding the warranty. One recall (the second trailer brake software update) did wipe out my 2 extra drive modes, so I had to redo them.

I just added TSR today, I'm in Clearwater. Last week I installed new switches and programmed cruise control.
