If we figure out what builds for those 2 days had in common that isn't in the ones that got started early we would know what is missing.
I have a 10/11 build date for a xl poverty edition just a standard with 2.0

MEXICO CITY (Reuters) -U.S. automaker Ford will temporarily suspend production from Oct. 11-12 at its Hermosillo plant in Mexico because of a shortage of material, the plant's labor union said on Thursday.

Workers will be paid 75% of salaries on those days, the union added in a statement.

Ford produces its Bronco Sport SUV at the Hermosillo plant in Sonora. It did not specify which materials were in short supply.

You're buying a new model truck in the middle of a pandemic with a labor and part shortage that has never been seen before. The Bronco's issue is related to their supplier for their MIC tops along with waiting for chips.

I just don't get how this is "sketchy". It's just the unfortunate world events were in right now
None of this prevents a Ford executive from keeping Bronco / Maverick buyers up to date.

This Ford's "just in time delivery" in action. Saw it when I worked for them. No stock in inventory and if the truck, train, or ship is late, stop the line and send the workers home.
Not just Ford, all manufacturers use just in time parts delivery.

Not exactly true... My company manufactures various stamped metal parts for the auto industry (and others). We do not ship directly to the OEMs, but to distribution warehouses. When Ford or others want parts they "generally" order them from the distribution who has the inventory on hand. If it is delayed form there is another story..

I ddn't order my XLT hybrid until August 25th, and although I did leave off a few things that were knowingly in short supply (like the mud flaps IIRC), I have told myself I'm looking at January or February. I guess it will get here when it gets here, and I'm fine with that.
I also noticed that some of the ridiculously overpriced used vehicles I was looking at have dropped in price. I'm hoping that means that dealers have discovred that there IS a limit to what consumers will pay for an 8-year old vehicle with 150,000 miles on it. (!!)
Meanwhile, I'm putting too many miles on my Expedition but I guess that's okay.
I did see a youtube demo the other day of auto writers demo-ing Mavericks, and one of them was a Pepper Red XLT like mine and it looks awesome.
So I'll go light a candle for the cargo ships' safe journey and bide my time.

Green is cargo. This could be container ships or bulk ships that could be carrying grains, ore, etc.

That's a pretty interesting graphic.

Do you have access to what it looked like a month ago, or a year ago, or pre-pandemic?

It would be interesting to see the comparison.
