Ford has stopped shipping replacements for the airbag recall ?

I was told by my dealer that ford has stopped shipping replacements for the air bag< I even had it set up to have dealer to pickup my mav to do the work,but the day it was to be done no one came to get it,so I called dealer and that is when the said that ford was not shipping the bags,has anyone else heard of this,I have got 2 notices from ford about it

I was going make the appointment for mine. I received 2 letters also. I interested to here from others.

My dealer has confirmed the to be installed air bags have been received with a scheduled install this Thursday. Received two letters, the oops letter and second advising calling your dealer to start process.

I wish they told me over the phone that they had to order the part. Drove 30 minutes and waited 10 for them to tell me that I wasted my time and money. They scheduled the fucking appointment! I’m annoyed.

I am scheduled February 21st for the air bag recall. They didn’t state any issues with them.

Sounds like a phone call before you go the dealer is the way to handle this recall.

The "seed stock" program has ended. So Ford won't automatically send any to dealers any more.
Parts can be ordered "VIN specific" through SSSC. (dealing w/ SSSC can be a pain...in this case, there is a "hidden" ordering requirement not in the FSA instructions, dealers should submit a copy of the open RO for the FSA).

1000s of airbags in Ford's parts depots.

Mines been in twice and both times came back with the old airbags intact

just checked with my dealer, Corwin, in Springfield, MO on side air bag recall. Parts not available

Took mine in for airbags last Friday, no appointment, installed same day.
They must have had one in stock.
