Opportunity for a tiny regular cab exists, if not here, then in other markets.

How low could they go with the price?

Seem Mav, Ranger, and F-150 are all about $10,000 apart when comparing similar(ish) offerings.

So a Mav Jr(maybe they call it Edsel) for $10,000-$12,000?

Those tiny overseas trucks probably wouldn't work here. Too small, look wimpy, etc. Reworking the Ecosport for the US wasn't much of a success

I don't think it could be that low. Maybe a single cab and a smaller hybrid engine in the base model. Maybe an EV version too. They will probably raise the price of the Maverick some, which would add more room for the low price.

Very true. I’m with you on thinking they will raise the price of the Mav by my2023. I think it’ll be around $24,000 base.

The Maverick is narrow but not short, being about as long as a Ford Explorer.

They could make something Ram 1000 (aka Fiat Toro) size, and can probably still use the same hybrid powertrain. I'd say right now that if they offered the Ram 1000 in the US in the diesel (50mpg highway), I'd probably pick one up over a Maverick, as its a good size for me and I like the interior materials and layout a bit better:

I too expect to see the Mav (esp hybrid) go up in price not too long in the future. As far as a smaller cheaper truck, I don't see it, there is a certain amount of fixed cost in building these things, and I don't think they would make a profit.

But, I really know nothing ...

Aren't you basically talking about a bronco at that point? They are 173 inches long, so about 2 feet shorter than the Maverick. I could see them maybe making a bronco pickup at some point like the old ones, but they wont be cheap.
