What this truck really needs is a kit with one roof rack and one ladder rack for the bed that matches the roof rack's height to create a complete rack for something 8' or more, like a 11' paddle board. The regular ladder rack will be to close together for support and likewise with the roof rack.

I'm pretty sure they are showing 2 different racks, one is clearly adjustable and has a different base than the other.

Yeah, you're right. I focused on the joint line on the uprights of the short rack. Didn't notice that that rack doesn't have the locking bolts for the adjuster. And as you note, the base is very different. The triangular bracing on the adjustable one looks super beefy.

You are correct! They are two different racks according to the Yakima website. Both are compatible with the Maverick

What I see is a entire roof rack and entire bed/ladder rack, overkill for such a small truck. What I want is 1/2 of each. What you have posted is $$$$$$$

I'm looking a building a small ~100pf but 17 foot boot and was thinking some kind of over cab later rack, but first I need the truck and then I can decide on the exact boat and options.

Starting to think those slots are for only tow hooks and nothing else. While I believe a retrofitted bracket will eventually make it to the aftermarket, I think you'll still have to do your own wiring, which I am not interested in. Phooey! I hope I'm wrong.

I'm sorry but that is just silly for SUP or surfboards. You don't need that unless you have a 22' Tandem Sea Kayak or 24' Surf Ski or long ladders or something.

As someone who worked for a kayak company and has 6 kayaks and 3 paddleboards I've never needed to do that. Just get bed racks that go up high enough that the kayaks won't touch the roof.

Agreed. My son has carried his surf-ski on his Mini. Neighbor has his on a Tesla Model Y now, but has used his Prius. These are 22' to 24' boats. They're plenty stiff and strong enough to be supported by two fairly closely spaced rails.

Anyone know if these bed racks will work with tonneau covers (hard roll-up specifically)?

I saw this out at cars.com. It says Green and it looks green to me. Not sure what to make of it.

My son sent a similar photo to me because he knows I love green. It was a widely circulated pic of an Area 51 Maverick but that particular pic had some weird yellow lighting, making it look green.

Just gotta find the right one. Iโ€™m going to drop the extra $ on the OEM
In another thread someone mentioned Ford Pass points. Might be enough to take a nice chunk out of an accessory.
