Good video. Great things to keep in mind with the EcoBoost maintenance. Nothing fatal. He seems to be positive of GDI in general.Just going to leave this here:
I was curious about this myself. Ford literature states it's SMFI on the 2.5LYou know the 2.5 is direct injection as well, right?
I deleted because I was going from what a tech mentioned last night but I'm thinking it is SMFI.I was curious about this myself. Ford literature states it's SMFI on the 2.5L
Yeah, I'm pleased about that.I deleted because I was going from what a tech mentioned last night but I'm thinking it is SMFI.
From the dawn of internal combustion engines, each design has challenges to overcome. Remember back in the day when manufacturers first came out with 50,000 mile powertrain warranties (1960s). Well, guess what, if not maintained properly, they would barely last 50,000 miles before major repairs were needed. The guys that maintained them drove many repair free miles over the 50,000 miles. The direct injection is no different in that reasonable maintenance is the key to any engine longevity. I'm not worried.Just going to leave this here:

What do you do when the grid goes down? BTW there was a recent article saying that several states have seen emissions increases since shuttering their nuclear power plants. Imagine that! Here's a good video going over the environmental impacts.
I don't worry about the grid going down, but if it does I'm not charging an EV or pumping gas. What do you do when the grid goes down? BTW there was a recent article saying that several states have seen emissions increases since shuttering their nuclear power plants. Imagine that!

Good thing there is a such thing as gas cans. Turns out 10 galllons can take you a few hundred miles, or run a generator. I'd rather not be forced to sit at home in the cold and dark in an emergency.I don't worry about the grid going down, but if it does I'm not charging an EV or pumping gas.
