I have the nod from the Mrs. to get some fog lights for my ‘23 Lariat, but the ones I want from Diode Dynamics (the “Elite” series) are on back order and won’t ship for ~8 weeks. Yikes! So…

Does anybody have a favorite alternative? Gotta buy quick before she changes her mind.

after having them on my jeep (and my daughter actually has 2 pairs on her jeep), I'm a fan boi of the diode dynamics SS3 amber sae fogs (daughter has only the pro's as she's running 2 pair, I had the max, with only one pair).
although no one has really made any mounting brackets for the mav/DD SS3's, I'm probably going to mount mine in the bumber facia: they're only a couple pounds & the light output is phenomenal & the cut-off is excellent, not blinding other motorists.
yeah, they're a bit pricey, but, in my opinion, well worth the cost.

for wiring, if you didn't want to run wires through the firewall, you could always look at a light controller, but, again, even the auxbeam, etc require running a smal wire inside...exactly why I went with the Spod wireless...absolutely zero intrusion into the cab & I can run 6 different things of the one controller

I have the 6 inch bar type Diode Dynamics SAE Fogs in white, and have been super happy with them. Ridiculous light output, but good beam pattern to not blind everyone else. Probably should have gone with the amber, but still happy overall.

Also, tell the wife it's a safety thing! 🤣

Installed this from my buddies 4x4 shop . Lowest mount to the ground for fog. Amber color works well. When switched to white it lights up the blacktop very well. Compared to the DD lights on a wall wide flat beam considerably brighter.

How/where did you mount them. They look intriguing - not what I was looking for but now that I have seen them on the DD page, I'd like to see how you did it.

Thanks...

All I would say is the Quality, Fit & Finish of Diode Dynamics whether it's fog lights (man those look like they are factory not some after thought) or any of their other products is worth waiting on. If you get impatient and purchase something else you'll probably always wish you had waited as time goes on. Just my opinion.

My friends 4x4 shop sold it to me that did all the work on my f150 . Don't remember the brand dual color white /amber, dual position switch on 2 relays about an hour to solder and tap the fuse box for power on to trip relays. Mounted the light buy cutting a few of the Vertical plastic rungs with side cutters. Drilled 2 holes mounting the light flush. 30 min tops . Very secure no shake. About 80 dollars for the dual relays wire kit and light. My wife says everybody comments how clean it looks. The bar measures 21.5 inches.

It may look factory, but my wife's Maverick works for a living going up-and-down a mountain.. in inclement weather. My only option for Amber in the fog.And white light. And realistically it's just a cheap truck. My raptor cost ninety And I replaced the grill with three light bars bilt in flush.

I mentioned this quote, knowing *exactly* what she would say when I did. “He’s right, you’re gonna hate anything that doesn’t look OEM”. And she’s right. Dang it!

My two cents: When your wife is driving, it's the most expensive truck in the world and worth the reliability, illumination, and peace of mind from a dependable manufacturer . . . Diode Dynamics

That is very much true. But that's an ignorant statement the lights Made by d n d Are keeping her safer. I ask you Were you there when we compared the amber light bar to the d and d lights the 4x4 shop installed In the customers maverick. Breakdown the word assumption.

Now if you said she was safer in that huge escalade or the raptor I could understand.
