How much clearance is there from the bed to the top inside for the regular size one and the taller one?

I honestly didn't measure. The roof of the topper is fairly even with the cab height. Subtract a few inches for the thickness of the topper. I probably won't have it on again until the end of April.

it's a good option for you, but I see similar things in both loads. I would have rented a trailer to get all that and more in one trip...

Normally I'd agree, but eh. If it all fits in the bed and nothing more needed to be taken, why bother with a trailer rental? That's part of the reason of having a truck and not a sedan.

I was anti-topper until I got to try one. Now I'll never own a truck without a topper, and an ugly ARE DCU commercial one at that.

I used to have to tie things down like the OP's previous setup. Nothing quite like having to tie things down to survive a category 1 hurricane and blazing heat for a couple hundred miles. The topper saves me a ton of time and effort. Just toss things in, shut the tailgate and the topper, and hit the highway.

Did you cross shop the Fas-Top? Curious why it wouldn't meet your needs. I have one and other than it being pretty ugly (like all toppers, really), it's held up well for weekend camping expeditions and then folding right back up the rest of the time.

triangulumhalohydra- I watched the fast-top video. It doesn’t hold a candle to the @FLATED HQ Air-Topper. Looks like it takes a mechanic to assemble and put on the truck. Check out the Air-Topper video on YouTube.
