WEAAAALP, Couldn't help myself... $30 eBay Cutout Welded in for $120. Drones quite a bit. Plan on adding a glass pack to see if it mitigates or even pipes it back further in the cab. It definitely shakes the stuff center console a wee bit at 4000RPM, Idle is quiet and has a nice rumble when I hit the remote start!

I hid the module in a baggie ziptied in the spare tire well

Couldn't have asked for a better $150 install, Like I said, I'd Appreciate a Glass Pack on it but it turned out fantastic!

Video #1. Will take more over my 13 hour drive home for thanksgiving!

I always put Thrush glasspacks on anytime I had to replace a muffler. Always loved em. Of course I would always test it out a bit open piped around the neighborhood.

The second photo showing the quality installation was all I needed to see...

There is something inherently fun about a loud exhaust though!

Not my cup of tea, but nice job! I’m on the hybrid side of the family, so our quest is the zero noise operation. Your exhaust guy did fabulous, I think I’d clean up that wiring a little bit and call it done. Cheers! 🥃🥃

Glasspack. Thanks for the memories. I haven't heard that term for 40 years. In my youth, they were all the rage instead of a standard boring muffler. Enjoy and thanks for posting. Please don't drive around my neighborhood in the early morning hours. LOL.

:)

First thing I did to my first car in 1979 (1969 Camaro w/350 V8) was to install Thrush glasspacks. What a sound, and with a nice cackle on the over-run...

What is the Electric Exhaust Cutout. What is being removed and replaced.

OH so what I found out googling it its a bypass so exhaust goes around muffler and cat converter? Normally that would lean out the mixture but fuel injection can handle that but I wonder how quickly it can do this.

Back in the day I would remove my header mufflers at track then pull Holley float boals reject carb with larger main jets and run the drag strip
