A neighbor did his 2000 f150 about 6 weeks ago and it still looks amazing, like brand new on 22 year old trim.

But the back bumper cap was too far gone so he replaced it. Can't Tell the difference Between new and old.

That's a great endorsement if there ever was one!

Is it just me or do others notice their exterior black plastic panels fading from the sunlight? I am seeing some whiting already happening after only a month and a half. Maybe not enough UV protectant in the plastic recipe? This is going to be fun in the Texas summer sun.

I applied my first coat of aerospace 303 protectant, dang there's alot of panels on the Mav. On another note..dang the Mav looks good after bringing all that black matte to view!

I guess I can always dye them, I think there's a protectant that has dye in it.

Recommendation, protect those plastic panels now while they are still new.

I used 303 interior/exterior cleaner and the interior/exterior protectant on all the plastic surfaces inside and out plus the tonneau cover. 2.5 hours later, and you realize just how much plastic this truck has. Whew my arms are feeling the burn.

303 is boss, been using it 20y. Yes agreed, I think its almost half of the Mav is plastic. Its a chore wiping down...

But man does it look good!! And its summertime UV time..

Cerakote is amazing. It is not a dressing, but a bonafide restorer. Not sure if it is the ceramic or whatever is the secret ingredient, but it just plain works and lasts. It will be all my future Maverick will see. Cheers.

Bob, thx for your input, I have the kote to use, but I just did mine with 303, so I have to wait or strip the 303. Lots of people stand by the Kate, I will use it and believe I will like it.

This place did like 15 different tests over 7 months. Cerakote, Adams and one called Poor Boys are all very good. Ceratrim failed earlier along with testing 22 products!!

Mine have Onyx Graphene coating since new, no issues and easy to wash and maintain.

I got my 303 graphene, was easy to work with, hope it lasts a year. It looks good, I really want to check out the repells water and minimize water spots. We have well/lake water and I am going to test this claim for sure. Will post my results.

Ceramic Coat it with something like Gtechniq C5.

If you just want to restore it when it starts to fade, Solution Finish is the best restorer IMO. They also have an Over The Top Sealant you can put on top or you can ceramic coat over the Solution Finish. It won’t stain paint and a little bit goes along way. Ive had it 2+ years on a car, still going strong.
