If you’d like to replace the Lincoln emblem with something Ecoboost-engine appropriate, I found these metal emblems that fit in the indented area of the Lincoln emblem EXACTLY.
$5,98 each on Amazon.
Chrome Finish Metal Emblem 2.0L Badge
Chrome Finish Metal Emblem Turbo Badge
Plastic Lincoln emblem easily removed (Two flat stud nuts on the back).
These badges come with adhesive strips — but they won’t hold it to the foam.
*** I discovered that if you remove the adhesive strip, you’ll find two bendable attachment tabs folded up. Just unfold them, hold the emblem over the space it’s going in, and push the tabs right through the foam.
The tabs aren’t quite as long as you’d like … but if you push down enough and squeeze the foam a little, the ends will come out the other side enough so you can bend them over to hold the badge in place.
(Fortunately the tabs are placed so they missed a thicker section of foam under the emblem spot. Sorry I didn’t get photos of it in place, but you’ll see when you do it what I mean.)
It also helps that these emblems fit nice and tight in the indented emblem spot, so as to “bite” into the foam at the corners a bit, which holds it in place. So not so critical that the tabs aren’t perfect.)
Here are photos of what they look like on the engine cover, and a photo showing the tabs extended from the back of the emblem.
