Got affected by a power outage that's been almost 2 days.
My hybrid has been running a 4 cubic ft camping fridge now with very minimal engine run. Plugged into the rear bed. Anyone know what the limit is on wattage? Also if an inverter is clamped onto the battery wouldn't the output be limited by the fire charging system?

Mines an xl any I have the 12 volt "power point" in the bed. The Iceco docs state 85 watt. So maybe 10-12 amp startup current?

I use a 5000 W inverter to power a small A/C unit. No problems

Wow. Good to know. The small fridge was hooked up about set at 38°f, 16 hrs and didn't use 1% fuel according to Ford pass. Or was in the lower 70's ambient

In a Maverick? At 14.6v a 5000w inverter would take 342amps. I have a small window unit that states it's around 500w ac. Do you mean at home, using a 48v battery? Not meaning to be critical, that's a huge inverter for our little trucks.

I power the inverter directly off the 12 V battery connectors underneath the hood on my hybrid

My Alpicool LG camping refrigerator runs at a max of 45w and is amazing for power outages.

The 12v battery is fuzed at 200 amps so it can be replenished at less than that rate. The dcdc convertor is fuzed at 300(?) amps and is rated at, if I remember correctly at 265 amps continuous. The 400 watt modified sine oem inverter is 3.3 amps at 120 volts.

Hmmm. Clamped onto battery the limit would be the remaining rapidly disappearing Cranking Amps or most likely the regulated max input required load on the inverter.
Edit to add: if you have a split phase inverter, the dc load on the battery would be more uniform, I think.

A 5000 watt inverter (if that wasn't a typo) probably means instantaneous peak, not continuous. And would be good to have running at 1500 - 1800 watts loads to prevent overheating.

I bought a 100 w audio amp to pair with a 200 w speaker for a PA system, when 25 w all around would suffice just so nothing was maxed out. Amp stays cool, etc.

During that nearly month-long power outage up here in northern Michigan from the ice storm a few months ago, we used our one hybrid (not the Maverick) as a power generator for one property, it had a built in 1500w but we needed surge capacity to start pumps and stuff, so I hooked up a 2400w I had. Doesn't particularly matter as long as you're not trying to draw more continuously than the DC-DC in the vehicle is capable of.
