The doc fee savings isn't as much for me. I have an honest dealer, Portsmouth Ford in NH. They only charge a $100 doc fee for everyone.

I thought the $275 was built into the x-plan price?

On an XL you're looking at $2-300 vehicle savings and in most states $2-300 in doc fee savings?
I'm pretty sure that when I looked on the X-plan site, the X-plan price was higher than MSRP.

For my23 it was like $200 below MSRP and then remember dealer fees capped at $100. So it should be roughly $500 depending on state dealer fee caps.

I recall because they don't have xplan pricing for my24 order I just placed.

It should be something like $96 above invoice (what the dealer pays ford)

Where ever did you get such an idea? X-Plan is always under MSRP. It's just not that much on Maverick due to the low margin between invoice and MSRP. Options get more of a discount, of course.

It depends on the MSRP level, here's my '23 build. Keep in mind, your dealer does not have to accept it, if you've waited until now to ask them, they may not.

It is my understanding that the Ford requires the dealer to accept the X plans. The dealer will get in trouble by Ford if they do not. The amount of time that has passed is of no relevance. The trucks could be getting off loaded of the car hauler and it would still not be too late.

Participation in X-plan is optional for dealers. They don't have to accept X-plan pricing.
  • Participating dealerships agree to comply with all of the terms outlined in this document, including the Red Carpet Lease provisions. Authorized Ford and Lincoln dealerships are encouraged, but not obligated, to participate in the New Vehicle Purchase Program. Participating dealerships must sign a Dealer Agreement located on the AXZD-Plan Pricing Agreement on each New Vehicle Purchase Program sale or Red Carpet Lease.

Ford's X-plan website does also say this:

22. When do I need to identify myself as a participant?
You are OBLIGATED to identify yourself as a Partner Recognition participant at the time you first visit a dealership. Not providing this information to your salesperson up-front, may jeopardize your ability to obtain a vehicle using the Partner Recognition Program.

That would be your Misunderstanding. The Ford documentation is clear they do NOT have to accept X-Plan.

I stand corrected. It does not say that X-plan is more expensive.

But I also didn't see that it says that the $275 fee is included in the X-plan price, althogh others here have said that it is. I was probably incuding that and didn't remember what it actually said. Mea culpa.

Guess I'll see if my Maverick ever gets built.

In da rules, that's exactly what it says.
