I think it's the same seven people actually.Probably because of a bunch of Hybrid owners having 2-3 batteries replaced within 4 years because of dead batteries.

So, to make this clear to everyone, especially those that seem to "guess" about issues andWell - you provided no link, just a claim.
And you might want to reread if you think I was talking about you or your post. I was talking about the article. You didn't write much but a link to the article.
Of course it's trademarked term - it's been used already for years.
Not on the Maverick yet though.
Appears 2026 they started - that's what I mean.
Had to look it up myself since I've not seen it in the few ads yet.
They have also changed their phrasing for the eCVT thru the years, actually on the windows sticker within the same year many times.
So the fact that article did happen to use a new marketing term used with the Maverick, along with some incorrect info, and some badly written AI - still doesn't mean it was useful info.
Most of the items that fail or require routine maintenance have been removed from the Hybrid. No belts, no external A/C compressor, no starter motor or solenoid, no clutches to wear out in a single-speed transmission that is rated for 1 million miles. An engine that Ford has used since 2005 and Mazda since 2001. Then you add in electric motors that have a history in New York and Chicago taxi service for coming on 1 million miles. A battery that is warranted for 8 years and designed for 12 year life. The smoother drive and the huge reduction in brake use means that brakes, tires and C/V joints should last 3 times longer. compare that to a small old-tech transmission and a high-pressure engine with belts, starter and compressor, gets far less mileage, many more oilchanges and wears out brakes every 70k and I know which one is better.too many extra parts. The parts of ICEs have been figured out over the past hundred years. Hybrids just have more and newer parts. Extra cooling system, etc.
1 - already told you that it had been trademarked. So, to make this clear to everyone, especially those that seem to "guess" about issues and
don't do their homework.
1. Ford Authority trademarked the term, "PowerBoost" ...and it's a Proper Noun.....on Nov. 27, 2017!!!
SOOOO.....that is for ALL vehicles using a hybrid system. Includes, yes...Maverick.
2. The info also could mean some "useful information." Just a fact.
3. Hellllooo.....the "link" is what I put for folks to open. Read and digest and then do whatever
from there.
Now you entered the Monte Python argument sketch. That’s just contradiction! No it isn’t.No it's not!

Iz too.Now you entered the Monte Python argument sketch. That’s just contradiction! No it isn’t.
At minimum - some sort of boost!EcoBoost all the way
I just can't stop laughing when people use "guaranteed", "reliable", and "engine" in he same sentence! And guaranteed to be more reliable from all I’ve read In here,

Yeah, but that' 40-someodd batteries between them!I think it's the same seven people actually.

When the F150 first got a tiny 6-cyl, there was uproar! Same with a 4-cylinder Mustang. But after some whining the comments (mostly) faded away.
There’s been several instances now that I’ve got 14,300 miles on the clock and it feels fully broken in, finally. When I needed more than a 3 second sprint. The updated powertrain of the hybrids 2025+ has them neck and neck with the EB for "stomp on the gas for 3 seconds" sprints. The EB wins the marathons due to the higher HP.
Both are fun.![]()
I like my sprints... hold the pedal down too long and you'll get a nasty ticketWhen I needed more than a 3 second sprint.
