I haven't had to put in gas in the Maverick yet, imagine I am probably running 87 from the dealer. That said I had been running mid grade in my wifes 2.0 non turbo Ecoboost Ecosport. The last time I went to fill up something went glitchy at the gas tank for mid grade and it was showing over $9, so I went with 87. Power noticeably dropped. Guessing the computer figured it out pretty quick. I'd say it went into almost Eco Mode as acceleration dipped and gas mileage went up. I wont be putting less than mid grade in that again though and plan to run premium on the Maverick.

I use 91.
22-24mpg. I drive up and down a mountain for work

When i drive around flat land I've seen 28MPG which is awesome but my 15 min commute up the mountain eats gas.

I get 32-33 mpg with BP Premium for 85% city/15% Highway driving.

With Regular, the best I ever got was 25-26 mpg.

With Regular: 416 miles per tank vs. With Premium: 528 miles per tank.

For me - It's well worth the extra $6-$8 per full up to get the extra 112 miles per tank.

32.5 MPG Open country, speeds between 45 and 65, few stops and starts. Could not see a difference between 87 and 93 octane. Benifits of country life, running pure gas , no ethanol.
