Costco in the 65802 was 3.38 yesterday when I filled up Mrs. Vols' 2018 Edge.

My Maverick is at 1/4 and I'll run it to near empty before filling it up at the end of the week. It will be close to a month between fill ups with 38.9 mpg on a hybrid with 75% highway driving. Can't wait til the mpg rises after the engine's broken in and join the 600 mile club.

One of these days I'll overcome the temptation to fill up with (non ethanol) 91 or 93 octane and see what the mpg difference is and how close I come to breaking even. At 20 cents it makes way more sense than the 50 cents difference in my area.

I wonder hoe people are doing in places like Colorado where 85 is standard and places close to sea level. I remember a slow trip on the Florida pan handle where my old 2005 Mercury Montego which typically average 20 mpg pulled 30.

Can't get non ethanol in NJ. When gas was cheap I put premium in my 2011 F150 ecoboost. Think it gave me more power but it could have been me.

It was a dollar plus less a year , .20 more for premium so you don’t feel the pain to buy regular at a high price. Tell me about it it’s been high here in California and I’m 66 yes old

I tried the first tank in ECO mode and got right at 40mpg with the hybrid. Read on here someone said slippery mode got better mpg, so that's what I'm doing with this tank full. Gas around here (SE Ohio) is $3.89 for 87 octane, but went to Parkersburg Sunday and got it for $3.39 at Kroger down there. $2.39 when I used my fuel points for $1 off/gallon. (Took all my gas cans) put 7 gallon in the truck and 28 gallons in the bed, only way we've been buying gas for the last couple years is 35 gallons at a time from Kroger. Drove the escape for 28 months and it only went to the gas station 2x.

That is a smart way to do it. I've never got that close to the 35 gallon limit using Kroger fuel points.

really don't know for sure how long we've been doing it, but I know it started with the 2015 Fusion (that I got in 2017). When the kids left the house got a little tougher (used to take 3 vehicles to the gas station). Last couple years been me in the F150 with a bunch of gas cans, and the cars just get filled by can. We have $1 off at least once a month, holidays its at least 2x and sometimes 3x/month. (gotta be sure to play the Kroger gift card game, as I call it)

They've been about $3 more per gallon than in Texas since my son reported to Camp Pendleton back in 2017, and I'm paying about $3/gallon now ;)
Must be nice half of California prices

Don't know how you guys out there can do that. It got as low as 3.29 here in NJ but now 3.69. And I am complaining.

They charge more because THEY CAN. What are you going to do . . . ride a bicycle 40 miles a day on the freeway?
