Decided to buy and my local dealer wants a 500.00 NoN refundable deposit.

Welcome to the forum.

The only way I can think of is to try a different dealer. Every dealer has different self inflicted rules. Call around and see what you can get. Don't just ask about the deposit, you'll want to know how much they will sell it to you for also PLUS what are all of the dealer mark-ups. Good Luck.

Ken Wilson Ford in Asheville NC had no deposit required. Ask for Eddie McGill. (828) 301-3689. But also ask for a signed purchase agreement with final sales price. That will give you a peace of mind ... especially if you read all the bronco horror stories emerging.

Local dealer is one of those "no haggle" we sell all cars at "factory invoice, no dealer fees, no closing cost"
The reason the NON refundable deposit worries me is I'm currently in a Chevy that hopefully will be purchased back (electrical issues since day one) but who knows how long it's going to take.

I just gave a refundable deposit of $500 to order a 2023. By no means should a deposit be non refundable. Go to a different dealership.
