Drop SIBL only?

A sales manager at my local Ford dealership (Crossroads Ford Apex, NC) called yesterday and said that Ford was allowing them to drop the spray in bed liner off luxury packages while keeping all the other options. She said otherwise, the truck was ready to be built (June 14th order). She said I was her first call to make this change. Weirdly, after asking me and getting my permission, she said the Ford system was not allowing her to actually uncheck the SIBL box separately? Said she’d call back once she talked to her Ford regional sales rep to figure out why it wasn’t working. Haven’t gotten the call back yet. Anyone else hearing this?

Good luck with this - hope it works. When we ordered in Early Dec, we could only get XLT Lux with DIBL. We took a week to work with Ford and the Dealer to see if they could just drop the SIBL but keep the Lux package as is - we did not want the DIBL and could do SIBL after getting the truck. Ultimately, no way to do this and they did contact the regional offices I believe. Basic constraint is the system - the pricing and ordering is fixed and unless they can update, dealer cannot drop or change. Hard limits on what they can do.

For this to happen, likely Ford needs to put a new Lux package minus the SIBL and minus DIBL. Be smart but not sure they can do this.
