they never took statistics. Forgive them if you will
Lol taught one night class in statistics when Ill 80y/o professor didn’t want to drive on a winter night. Was Senior math student living in dormitory at the time. But it’s not the sample size but what you want to ‘prove’ with it.
When the margin of error is 8 to 10 point swing in Polls, someone sample was tiny.

Ok battery only score. Surprised that the engine didn’t come on at all during time spent in truck.

Do you recall what mode you were driving on for this particular trip? So far my experiments have been in normal mode, economy and slippery.
I haven't touched the modes. So whatever mode it was in when I picked it up

If I only did a 5 mile sample size on my AWD EcoBoost I could post a picture of my Mav getting over 70 mpg going downhill as well 😂
You need to get a 5,000 mile average for me to believe the nonsense claims or clickbait that people post.
I have 40k on the odometer and average 24.5mpg with 1000lbs of payload every day. My sample numbers are going to be much more accurate since it actually is an average, not a 5 minute trip to the store.
Unless you’re just going for clickbait….
I try to follow the braking and hybrid/electric coach bars... keep forgetting to put it in ECO though...
I've got 41MPG (5.8L/100km) since purchase.... currently @5,500km. 95% city driving.... I think you'd have to have ideal weather, terrain and traffic conditions to get those #'s. Its starting to get cold out and my #'s are dropping already (a natural thing for hybrids).

I did my first Uber today in the mav. Only half day right around 4 hours. This was in normal mode.

I'm over 400 miles in to my first tank and I still have 200 miles of range and a shown average of 42 MPG. Pretty good considering it's been 20° and ice storming here for a week of the two weeks I owned it.

Good job I like what I'm seeing on your fuel economy. I have noticed since I've had my Maverick for over 3,000 miles now that my fuel economy is degraded terribly by frigid temperatures and wind. But in the last few days where I live the temperature has come up quite a bit hovering around 60° and he wind is almost non-existent and for my 10-mile-ish long trips I am right around between 55 and 65 miles per gallon again like I was in the fall. It's amazing the fluctuations the vehicle will show in its fuel economy relative to the temperature and wind. I have learned quite a bit and owning the vehicle since october.

Here's a trip from today. Temperature right at 60° and the wind very slight. I drove in economy mode and was ultra conservative on all start and stops for the trip and I coasted on the hills where I could. I could have done even better but I was being pressed by traffic couple of times and felt the need to accelerate a little more than I wanted to. But all in all still a good trip.

RE:
Here's a trip…

I have 3000mi on my Maverick after 5 months of ownership with mainly city driving in fall/winter in the Midwest.
I have fueled up four times and am getting around 48mpg overall.

In Eco mode, I routinely get 50 - 70 mpg around my small town (5 to 10 mi trips). Hills aren't bad, I don't mind pissing people off with truly abysmal acceleration that drives my wife crazy, and temperatures have been around 70 degrees lately. I have not, however, tried turning my A/C off. Perhaps I will play with that in the future and see if I can increase my range. I use it on the highway with 55 mph speed limits often enough to keep my batteries charged up.
