The ones I found are "smoke" and on every other exterior attachment, that means tinted not matte. So, does LUND make some matte exterior window deflectors?

Are you going in channel or tape on! I have read in channel messes with your window motor. I would love vents but don’t want the tape on.

Those look pretty darned good, if I didn't love my in channel vents I'd likely go Lund.

That's why I'm switching. The auto up function on the drivers side was constantly stopping and rolling down 3/4ths the way, then I have to go all the way down and back up again. I tried applying the same thickness adhesive on it as the EGR rears I had came with, but it didn't solve it. When I went to remove them the final time I was going to sand a bit of the inner channel down in the corner to help it seat better or give it more flex or something, but I snapped the thing in half by accident. So... new ones it is ;)

And yea, the scratches on the windows are pretty crazy. I've never noticed it this bad on any other vehicle before. Even on the interior where my tint is, it's leaving marks and wearing the tint down.

So I'll make the switch to the exterior ones.

I actually ordered the AVS versions (smoke), but I'm not sure I really like them. I've seen way too many cheaper knockoff versions of the LUND to bother with them too.

EGR SMOKED OR MATTE
I have had 6 sets of in channel window visors, going back to my 93 Ranger. When they were called vent visor and you get them at most auto parts stores. They were on large yellow cardboard blister packs. Then I went with WeatherTech. Now EGR. NEVER have I had any window or motor problems with in channel.

I feel that in channel gives a cleaner appearance and offers a little better wind protection down by the mirror.

I feel the stick-on just look like they are........stuck on.
Never had an issue either on any other vehicle. I'm sure I got a bad cut. But I'm not willing to try it again. I don't like the exterior ones either, but... function over form and since I had an issue, I'll change it up. But the smoke tinted exterior ones do look awful. I'd much rather have a matte version and I can trim down that excess on the corners so everything is flush. Then at least it just looks like the rest of the matte exterior around the door. Saw someone trim the LUNDs front portion of the rear ones and then just add some double sided foam to fill the gap.

My EGR hood deflector (even though I had to drill the correct hole myself) is still going strong at least. No issues there and I'm glad I don't have massive hood flutter from it.

Smoked. The matte ones weren't available when I got mine. Didn't go with them this time because they add to that pillar limiting my visibility. One thing I notice around blind turns on trails all the time is how I have to basically stick my head past the steering wheel to get a good view. I had matte ones on a Tacoma previously and liked them, but they were at the top of the windows only. If I did get the matte ones I'd trim that section, and thought about grabbing a set, but I dunno... I'm zero for 2 on the EGR stuff with this Maverick. Or... 1.5 for 2 since the hood deflector is still in operation.

I have the EGR matte black in channel ones - no issues other than some slight interference w the pass side mirror. Not a problem for me but some may not be crazy about that 🤷‍♀️
