I will begin by telling you the story. I was searching the internet starting in January for a Maverick. It took until end of February and I found this one on Facebook.
I immediately called and talked to a salesman who had ordered the truck for himself. He decided to keep his 2015 Dodge 1500.
We went through all the specs and I immediately put down $100.00 to hold it.
I was told it would be delivered at anytime the end of February.
Of course that didn’t happen . After reading on here about different stories, In March I had him draw up a purchase order and sign it. He emailed it to me and I signed and emailed back. We kept in contact and it eventually was delivered two days ago. On April 25th.
Me and my wife drove 102 miles one way to Danville, Illinois to Courtesy Ford.
I told my wife on the way there that this guy over the phone has been really nice the entire process.
And from the moment we arrived he was outstanding. He went by the purchase order, and gave us a great price for our trade in.
The deal was made back in February for 2000.00 over MSRP. We were perfectly fine with that due to now it’s worth a lot more than we paid.
They took our $750 Ford Loyalty off that Ford sent in the mail. He already knew about before I said anything. Must be in the system some how. I asked about the Farm Bureau $500 in which I had ready. But you can’t combine them. At least I tried.
After down payment and a big amount from our trade in. We ended up in a great spot. The Maverick is worth double than what we owe in it.
The finance guy was great. Of course he went over all the warranties, in which I turned down. He didn’t pressure it.
The only two issues were a bug shield was supposed to be in the Maverick (it states dealer installed on build sheet). It hasn’t came in yet. They are going to ship it to me when it comes in.
The other issue was when we immediately got there he said to go ahead and test drive it. We got in and when down the road and i noticed it showed 3 miles to empty on the fuel. We Immediately turned around and when I got back it stated 2 miles. He did fill up the tank.
Buy when driving home after 85 miles the gas gauge didn’t move and the area where it shows some many miles to empty was actually climbing.
We started out with 378 to empty and when we got home it had went to 386.
I assume hopefully air in tank caused by low fuel.
I’m hoping something didn’t get messed up having such low fuel. I did text him and told him I would keep him informed.
If it does need repair I have a local dealer.
We love the truck. A lot of feature and comfortable to drive. I’m not small and it has a ton of leg room. In 6’2. All together we had a outstanding transaction!
I would like to give a shout out to Joe Zarn and the team at Courtesy Motors in Danville Illinois.
Oh and there was another Maverick XL in Area 51 on the same delivery as mine.
I felt sorry for it due to it came in with a cracked windshield.
Starting today will be the add ons.

Congratulations! We almost picked out the blue color (Florida Gators) but went with the Hot Pepper red, but basically the same truck. Have only 60 miles on it - like you we really like it.

Regarding mileage - the miles to empty is calculated based on current average MPG. When you first pick up it has been idling, sitting and basically getting very poor MPG. As soon as you get on the road you get better MPG which then cause the miles to empty to increase, at least for a while. So what you describe is normal and will settle down once you start to use daily and computer gets a ”good” MPG average to calculate the miles to empty.

Looks great!

Thank You. I was getting 31 mpg. I told my wife maybe I got the really good engine or mistakenly put in the hybrid engine in it. 🤣
