Dealer called and offered me a Maverick today

I was really surprised to get a call today saying they had one on the lot. I turned it down because it was an EcoBoost Lariat @ $40k.
But it was nice to get the call

They'll find a buyer. Just not you. If I elect not to take my Maverick the dealer will most likely sell it for around that. AWD FX/4 with the LUX package is a great Vermont vehicle. Plus the 2k hitch is more than enough to lug the fishing boat to the lake access.

No. Didnt ask how it was optioned, but a 22 lariat AWD/EB can easily hit $36k IIRC

Plus they may have had the delivery charge on there as well.

Definitely. If you have one, or one on order, it's senseless to buy one marked up by the dealer. But for those who missed out during the brief window and want an EB Lariat, might be a good opportunity to get one before 2027

40K is not out of line if the truck was fully loaded with a moonroof, Lux, FX4 and 4K tow packages. Yeah it is marked up but only by about 3k or so.

If it fits your build (what you wanted/want), buy it. $3k or so markup is pretty reasonable.

I was also called today, al packer in west palm beach fl has a xlt area 51 eco w co 360-and lux pack sticker 27,000 he said they want i think 33,500 but WE want the hybrid.

I got contacted the other day by a local dealer with Lariat he wanted to sell for $46k "firm"... I wonder if it's still on the lot?

I found a hybrid lariat lux on a lot in Florida for 37,900 and my wife said I'm so sick of waiting for you to replace your old car, just buy it... Soooo my wait is over! Sticker was just under 34k. It has a lot of constrained items like remote start and a bedliner and the adjustable bed rails that came with MY22 that aren't included in my MY23 order so it ends up being just a couple grand different than the cost if I took my MY23 delivery and then bought items aftermarket.

Ah, it's good to see that Al Packer down there is the same bunch of swindlers that they are up here in MD!

we are going to try to hold out for our order waited one year so far reordered on the " private offer" 9/15 and got conformation from ford, well see , and that is sticker ,no mark ups and mullinax charges NO adm or dealer fees. what is really nuts is the so called used ones, most I see are 8,000-12,000 over what they stickered for and they have 2,000-4,000 miles on them. we are retired and are not going to pay out over sticker, this will be the first time I even paid sticker, I always paid less.crazy times.
