Why do you want to mount your phone there?
Tons of people do, myself included.

@NickyB You just remove the housing around the screen and then route the cable through the dash towards your USB port.

I drilled a small hole for mine to fit through just above the USB port that is not visible unless you bend over and you look underneath, but you could in theory just pinch it between the trim pieces and continue on the path through the dash towards the screen. The 4 clips that hold the screen portion in place are a bit sketch and tough, but the rear cubby part just pops off then I believe two 8mm sockets to remove and then use a plastic trim pry tool to push on the 4 clips keeping the screen in place. 1 at a time and gently pull/wiggle. The A/C portion also just pops off, and that one is easy to remove with just your hands. That will help you route everything. If you are having trouble grabbing the cable or routing through a specific spot, run a piece of something like a coat hanger or tie wire through it, bending as needed, then tape the end of the cable to that tie wire and pull it through. I don't think that's necessary for this portion, but just something to keep in mind for future cable management ;)

Others here have this same settup. It gives you a hands-free driving experience with your apps, using voice commands. You don't need to interface directly with your phone at all; You don't have to dick around with connecting a cord to your device; and those obsolete phone holding pieces of shit clutter-up your truck.
I've had this system for about a month, and one thousand miles and it works great! It's super easy to set up and costs about $150.

Motorola wireless adapter, Belkin Boost Wireless charging pad and a 12v/10w mobile charger are the hardware you need.

I'll be glad to send pics and give detailed further help to anyone who wants to put this together

Mine came with wireless charging and I never use it. I and many others prefer to mount their phone for various other reasons. Thanks for your opinion and advice on going another route.

I have 2 phones. I have always mounted one on each side of the screen for convenience in my previous vehicles.

Like others, the double-sided piece of tape that came with the dongle didn't stick very well, so I used Gorilla double-sided tape. I also used it to secure the charging pad and the excess cord.
