I haven't heard officially that Ford will have a Maverick at the Dallas State Fair but I would be surprised if they didn't.

I'm planning to go just for the chance to see one in person.

Ugh, no way I can make it to Denton on my lunch break. I really hope the state fair has one and it's actually available to sit in. I'll be so disappointed if it's all locked up on a pedestal like some of the other posts have shown recently.

I'm also planning on going to the Texas State Fair Auto Show just for the chance to see one in person. It starts this weekend. I can't make it until next weekend. @MarkG are you going this weekend?

Not going to go on opening weekend. Too many people. Most likely Oct 2.

I sat in the XLT and I checked out the cubbie hole beside the LCD screen and it has a small lip in front (not easily noticed in the pictures I've seen). The driver side "well" is a little deeper than I'm used to as I tripped getting out of it a couple of times and then looked at the door side and noticed it was taller than my Honda Pilot. I should have taken pictures while I was there.

I saw a trainer at Planet ford Dallas about a month ago. I got to sit in it, push all of the buttons, check out all the storage, etc. It was great.

I placed my order that day.

I haven't heard or seen anything since.

Call Ford Marketing to confirm they have your order on file (if you haven't already). You should have and order code and a sales code. if not, then the dealer hasn't converted your request into an actual order. I have a second order placed at another dealer and they are now so backed up that Ford hasn't even acknowledged my second order as yet.

Too far for me to get to Denton unfortunately. I work in Farmersville. Hopefully someone else will get one in, maybe in McKinney or Frisco. If they do have one at the State Fair, please post! I may attend if they do!

It actually was ordered the same day. I got my confirmation email just a few hours later. I asked my dealership the other day if my order was approved by the Program HQ, per Tim Bartz's video, and they showed me on the computer screen where it said that my order was 'approved.' It's just been a waiting game since then, but I'm playing the long game and trying to stay patient.

My wife hasn't seen one in person yet, but I'm hoping to win her over at the State Fair. It'll also be a good test to see if I can get all of the family to fit in there comfortably.
