Read where Ford made 81,300 2022 Mavericks - only 2.9% in Cyber Orange. If that is correct, who knows but our club is fairly exclusive for the original year.
all you see is area 51 and cactus mostley. I have had company cars for last 30 years and did not need a car. only colors they had was white, silver, blue, red. So I wanted a color that was way outside the box. Classic maverick color!

Just looking to share my mods I've done over the past couple months within my pay grade. The Tonka came to me very late in the long game most of us are playing with Ford, (500+) but was my first mod. They were fun a.f. as I've never done anything to my vehicles in the past. My last mod was my favorite because it took some outside the box thinking, drilling, and grinding, being the cargo hooks that attach and slide along the rail system and also lock in place. Now for the list with pics. Thanks for playing.

Exterior: Tonka decals, Tonka license plate frame, Tonka puddle lights, Maverick lettering, mud flaps, fender guards (choose this route to blend with muds flaps) and used it to do the tailgate and hood, bug deflector, door guards (they cover the entire edge of the doors all around), and my fav - the cargo hooks.

Interior: gear shift cover and storage divider, radio cover, dash storage bin with phone mount, USB ambient lights (1 in back lighting up fits garbage can and 1 to light up wireless charging tray area), custom cup lights (Tonka of course), and mirror dash cam. Not a mod but threw in a dash of Dewalt and I listen to music via USB on MY ipod video. (Bonus sync gets it).

Thank you all for giving me the courage to do this kind of sh-t, and the patience to get to 500+. MTC is my daily medicine.

what hood deflector is that?
Part # VNZ6Z16C900 C . the other textured one does not have the lip on it. I found that part # after contacting Ford after the dealer parts ordered twice and received the flat ones. I believe Ford may have discontinued the one with the lip, due to hood vibration. Mine had vibration @65mph +. Dealer parts was able to find in their warehouse just make sure the part # has the C at the end, instead of A like the flat textured one.

Greetings, all.

The 2023 Blackheart Edition Cyber Orange Maverick XLT FX4 (*takes moment to inhale*) is just about done. My mods are pretty mild:
- Flowmaster muffler and tailpipe muffler delete
- Supreme Suspensions 2" wheel spacers
- Bushwacker pocket flares
- Tufskinz grill applique
- Oedro hard trifold tonneau
- Rough Country tailgate damper
- Klutchtech hood struts
- MGP caliper covers
- Hood decal by Rocky Mountain Graphics
- generic grill lights (need to wire them up)
- various personalization decals

Okay, enough boring you for now. That said, got a bunch of pics. Now to devote attention to my 68 Ranchero resto. Hope your projects are kicking tail!

Love what you've done to customize your truck. Very cool!

But I'm pretty sure your tailgate strut is installed upside down. The "rod" part is supposed to point "down" so that the seal remains coated by the lubricants inside the struts. It keeps the seals from drying out, and they will last a LOT longer.

I made that same mistake (installed upside down) when I installed some replacement struts on a hatchback I used to own, and the darn things were useless in about a year. When I went back to the auto parts store to get new ones, the parts guy showed me the instructions to install "rod down" for the above stated reason. Never again! The new ones were still "like new" 5 years later, when I sold that hatchback.

Installed per Rough Country's pictured instructions, so I'm assuming they have experience with it. In addition, the damper only slows downward force and doesn't expand to support something like a rear hatch or my hood struts I added. And, my old motorcycle seemed to do just fine with the rods pointing up. 😉 I hear ya, and I appreciate your input. We're all here to support and watch out for each other. Thanks!

Cyber Orange Maverick Club member... a very lonely club, but at least it will be easy to spot in a parking lot.
Mine was the only real choice to make. I lucked out that whoever ordered my CO XLT decided to not take ownership. It was a bit expensive but finally got a good deal.
