Craigslist Find - Bed Extender

Craigslist find! It’s an adjustable bed extender. Just missing the bolts, support brackets and the straps.

Usually goes for $169 on Amazon. The previous owner used it on his Jeep Gladiator. I just needed to shorten it just another quarter inch, clean it up and it fits great! Plenty of clearance under the Bakflip G2 cover too.

I reached out to a company on Amazon that sells this type of unit and asked if I could purchase the installation hardware kit (bolts, brackets, straps, etc) and they let me know that they do not sell just the installation kits, so they are sending me the kit for free!

Not bad for $40 and a little elbow grease!

I’ll get an exact measurement tomorrow…but close to 3 inches.

The Maverick I purchased came with the Bed extender and I found it got in the way. My extender is now hanging in the attic of my garage Out of the way. If I need it I can put it back on the truck.

How much modification did it take to get the one from an old Sport Trac to fit? If not much, that's crazy. Does it flip back and forth like it should?

Same one I have. I love it. Stroller fits in that space and doesent slide into the cab anymore.

oh sorry about the misunderstanding....looks to be about 72.5 inches from the back of the cab to the furthest point of the extender.

I just tapped the predrilled center hole and used my existing bed extender mounting bolts. You could also just drill the hole larger and use a nut on the taillight side. It flips back and forth perfect.
