It does not even have 4k tow or Ford co-pilot 360.
My build is about $28000 MSRP with these options.
No wonder my dealer is slow to give me information on my shipped Maverick.
I hope these high used car prices level out to a logical plateau soon.

"Buy now before inflation."

Consumers need to stop feeding the machine as these prices show its a rich mans game only. How many Ford pickup trucks are sitting idle in Kentucky? Still waiting for chips? 40,000? Yet the market still thinks its okay to ask $50,000+ for a base truck. I saw a video the other day where the narrator said the average time a truck sits on the lot now before purchase is 100 days.

Market adjustment coming.

yeah, this one is sitting at about $11,400 above MSRP ($26525, XL EB + AWD + Delivery). Has to be some kind of record at a 43% markup above MSRP and dirty at that. That's a dealership to avoid for sure.

We are going to force them to raise the price higher, lol. Their view count indicator is saying this vehicle is getting lots of attention. I'm sure it's mostly MTC views.

Asking/listing prices can be very different from transaction price. I would say this dealer would most likely be willing to negotiate for a lower price with a serious buyer. I don't think the current market in central OH supports the asking price. They might get it, but I would bet my money the final transaction will be much lower.
This. I had a chat with my sales rep recently, as I'm still waiting to be scheduled. I let him know I'd be interested in a similar spec XLT if another buyer backs out, but only if they would sell it as MSRP or 'reasonably close'. He said that while they always add around 5k ADM to any they get on the lot, they usually sell for $1000 - $1500 over, so those ADMs are very negotiable.

Yes dealers can charge whatever they like. That's because the dealer lobby has spent millions of dollars and has successfully made it illegal for manufacturer to sell directly to consumers. The dealer argument against direct sales is that the franchise model can provide better prices and service. I think most people would agree they on average aren't receiving better prices (even during "normal" times) or good customer service.

If anyone pays that price for an XL and I find out who they are, I will personally punch them in the upper arm hard repeatedly until they admit they were an idiot. 😆
I'll hold 'em down while you punch!

Our local dealer here in NW Arizona had a used '22 XL stickered for $36,000!

I remember in 2000 people where paying over MSRP for PT Cruisers that didn't hold their value well, after the newness wore off - hope that doesn't happen to the Mav.

In five years the Maverick will be just another used truck.

You just know some lucky S.O.B ordered both an EcoBoost AND a Hybrid and got their hybrid scheduled a week after their EcoBoost, then figured they'd just drive the EB around for a week and a half before trading it back in to the dealer for an extra $5k.

This is the official narrative in my head now and I'm making myself even more angry about it. :ROFLMAO:

Also have to love they have these side-by-side on their website: a Lariat Ranger for almost the same exact price as a "pre-sold" XLT Maverick.

I have a base XL Ecoboost with 15k miles - it even has a moonroof! To whatever poor sap — I mean, lucky soul — is willing to drop 38k on this, I’ll be willing be let mine go for the low price of 37k. DM if interested!

:ROFLMAO:;)

Honestly though - why? Just a cursory search of CarMax brought up a beautiful red 2018 F150 XL supercrew with 32k miles for $36k. For that 2 grand more that it takes to make $38k you could probably add a 5-year, nearly-100,000-mile warranty to it, and suddenly, the Maverick makes almost zero sense in context. And that’s Carmax! I’m sure someone could do much better with a half-hour of research…

Heck, I have low mileage awd ecoboost 4k but no moonroof. I’ll undercut you at $36.333333k.

Anyone?

It could be more like a five year old Ford Focus.

Part of the stragety for the low price of the Maverick was that they wanted to have an option for people that would have previously bought a Ford car. Once Ford stopped making cars, except for the Mustang, they wanted a way to keep those loyal Ford customers. A high percentage of Maverick owners have never owned a pickup before.
