First time working with a clay bar and this type of finish. Watched a lot of Youtube videos and was a bit intimidated, but it wasn’t bad. I code the Turtle Wax product because of good reviews and ease of use/beginner friendly-ness. I think it looks great!

I’ve been with TW since the hybrid line came out. They now recommend to strip any old wax, prep, polish them use graphene ceramic paste wax as a base. Then cover with graphene or ceramic. The paste goes on /off quickly and very durable.
Did mine last weekend and going to use graphene this weekend

Gorgeous! I've used the Turtle Wax spray-on ceramic and was very happy with its pricing, ease of application, and longevity.

love this combo, discovered the (turtle wax) graphene about a year ago, before that was si-o2 #303 product, and before that McGuire's x wax, always with various clays.

Looks fantastic. Area 51 is such a great color to work with. Looks good whether it's dirty or clean. Back in August, I had my Maverick ceramic coated and all I have to do is wash and maintain it with spray detailer. No more waxing.

Which spray detailer do you use?

I used that, but...... If would not recommend using turtle wax graphene. If you went through all the hustle of clay baring your ride, use legit H9 product. I find that turtle wax does not last long. 2 weeks max in dry environment. There is a reason why they sell it in a Giant spray bottle. While if you H9 it it takes 6—12 month. But if you liquid turtle wax (green bottle) it will last even longer. It takes 5 min to apply green stuff after each wash.

Your Maverick is beautiful. Sigh... Still waiting.
On a side note: I see that you have gone with the Michelin CrossClimate 2 tires. I am going for the same tire choice 225/65 R17.
Please post how they perform for you over the winter.
Thank you. 😀

Yes, I chose the CC2 from past experience in the winter on my wife's car. I found that they performed as well as winter tires so I chose them so I wouldn't have to get dedicated winter tires, as changing the wheels out twice a year is getting old. I'm hoping they last long and I will certainly report back.

Yeah, I was a little intimated about trying to do a genuine ceramic or graphene coating myself and didn't want to pay the $$$ to have it done. I may look at it again in the Spring or Summer.

There’s trade offs. The spray doesn’t last as long but it is easy to apply. If you were going to put on a coating then you’d probably want to polish as well as clay.

I mentioned in another thread. I called turtle wax direct and after paint prep they recommend the ceramic/ graphene paste wax as a base coat.
they said if you put that over other coats they won’t all bond properly
