Checking for Oil leaks on the Hybrid after oil change.

First I want to say I did look to see if this was answered. I am a DYI guy so I like to change oil on my rides myself. After an oil change I always start the engine to check for oil leaks. After I changed the oil in my Mav Hybrid I "started it" to check for leaks. That is when it hit me. What do I need to do for the engine to run in my driveway to checks for leaks. Once you put the lower shroud back on you can not tell until you have oil leaking and I hate the thought of having to check for leaks by driving it down the road until the ICE kicks in. Thoughts???? BTW i would like to thank the DYI folks that do a great job of posting how to do...... Adospeed your post was great thanks!

I think the ICE will turn on shortly after putting the AC on and turning the fan all the way up. No 100% sure this will work, but it has worked for me on my Maverick and on my other hybrids.

Once it's ready, just step on the gas pedal and hold it down and the ice will start.

Yep gives you just a tiny bit of revving at the furthest end of pedal input when parked, in my experience.

Not sure if this works. It’s for an Escape Hybrid and I don’t have my truck yet. So please if it does let me know I would to know. Good luck
