Cheap bed mat for snow removal and hauling

I don't plan to get a cover for the bed, but I do want something to make snow removal easier and to protect the bedliner when I'm hauling. I ordered this mat from Home Depot and cut a rectangle to fit, not bothering with the wider bits back of the wheel wells. Tried it about an hour ago and it pulled right out with about 4 inches of light powder on it.
