Chapman/Horsham -- 2022MY orders

Had you made changes after your initial order? I'm trying to establish some reason or rule that some folks get the original invoice and others (like you) don't. In my case, I did make a change. The original order email from Chapman established an MSRP, Invoice, discount, and Final price -- kind of like a contract offer. The subsequent email, after the requested change, did not provide all of the pricing details (just a enclosed DORA) -- insufficient to argue a contract offer.

Or is it the luck of who you draw as finance agent?

Like you say, it's kind of nit picking. I'd rather have the truck. The long term lack of the truck diminishes any value of the discount. I'm glad you have yours.

No changes. Walked in on July 14th, confirmed July 16th. Even emailed them about the December price change. Email with "the price we gave you is the price it is, unless you want to put in a new order". It is just strange that they charged me the new price, but the old finance rate. So far I am very happy with it. Glad I decided to keep it.

So it was on the low end of the estimate. Did you have to sell it to them or not since it didn't meet the reserve price?

I was not obligated, but I knew up front that $34,000 was the magic number. I shopped it around again, and Carvana boosted their offer up by around $475 to like $33,175. Carmax didn't budge. Vroom went down to $28,500.

So I accepted the offer. It is $75 short of $12,000 over MSRP. Just insanity. Honestly I loved the nearly 2,000 miles I put on it. I thought about keeping it just because I loved it, even though we had no need for it. But I can 100% say there is no way in hell it is worth $34,500. I don't know if I could have squeezed anymore out, but I am plenty pleased with the result as is.

Awesome! I have two that I ordered and waited to see which would arrive first. I was going one to someone for cash + $2-3,000 to avoid the second hit on my credit, but if I can get $8-9,000 for it, it might be worth to go that route.

Sounds good for you. hope closing the deal is easy. Unfortunately does not help me, they are only in the southeast and parts of Texas. I'm in the northeast.

I'm seeing mostly hybrid orders outstanding from the responses. Have they scheduled most of the EB orders then? My Horsham order for an EB XLT AWD Lux CP360 order from 11/2 was scheduled last month to be built the week of 6/6. Although I never received an email from Ford, Ashlie at Horsham was kind enough to send me a screenshot of her system showing the status. Theway: Have you checked with her lately?

@chuckles, just for completeness, can you add this one to the chart? Even as an EB, as a XLT Lux 360 it's definitely an outlier - scheduled in April for early June production, most recently moved to 6/20.

I emailed the Chapman crew today and was told that all they had schedule this week were two hybrids, and no EBs. Hopefully one (or TWO!) of the hybrid folks in our list got their VIN, but this does not bode well for the rest of us...
