Don't let the pic fool you. The decal is level with the body line. 3M decal from an Etsy seller.

Nice. Looks better than the Ford decal.

Looks great
How did you get the original decal off? I want to change mine but concerned about removing the decal.
Thanks

Looks familiar! 😂😃

@JKinPA - Hit it with a hair dryer for a minute and they will peel right off.

That looks amazing. The stock fx4 wouldn't look as good against that color.

Looks good. I like that you kept it in line with the top of the tail light (y)

I saw one on here previously and the placement looked a little high.
I ran 3m painters tape along the top and left side of the original decal to place it back where Ford put it. I like the factory placement.

You would be surprised how easy it comes off with no mess when you apply heat. I have a heat gun that I used on low setting. Just a little heat and it comes right off. After application I use some heat to help adhesion. Especially when its cold outside.

Thanks for the tips. Getting pretty cold here so I may hold off until the spring but the new decal looks so good I hate to wait.

Opinion time for anyone who's willing:

I don't have an FX4 but I really do like the decal on there. I have no desire to badge my Maverick something it is not, my son wouldn't let me live it down. That being said, what do you folks think would look good in this area on an AWD Ecoboost, that's non-FX4? I saw an F150 the other day that said "sport" there. It looked great, but I presume that F150 had the sport package, again, don't want to make it look like I have something I don't. But I do kind of see my Maverick as a blank canvas in some regards.

Thoughts, opinions?

This looks really nice by the way! Had me thinking of ways to further customize my own.

Take care,
Dave

This was first done by @mdl20813 and looks better than stock.
Yeah, and they put it in a weird spot.

It's not always about who does something first, but rather who does it right 👩‍🏭
