I have been studying tailgate letter colors for a while trying to decide which color I wanted on my Atlas Blue Lariat. The more a searched online the more undecided I became. I am fortunate to have a neighbor who has the equipment to make them for me. In looking through the colors of vinyl he had a finally decided I would go with white. I made that decision when thinking back to my 1983 Ranger, it was a light blue that Ford placed white letters on. That firmed up my choice.

Added a tailgate lock this afternoon. Ordered on Thursday Using FordPass points to purchase. Cost $10.75 with shipping and tax. I was expecting it to made out of aluminum and a little disappointed to find out it was plastic. This is another product that came with no written instruction. Had to scan the QR code to access them. I guess at my age I am not in sync with this generation. Just seems like it is easier to have the instructions come in written form rather than having to scan the QR code and then scroll from written instructions and then photos to install the lock. I was surprised that I had to remove a bracket from the side of the tailgate (then discard it) to install the lock. Took as long to download the instructions as install the lock. Sorry for the old man gripe, but I feel better now.

Its a hose clamp in a case. Some people have literally used one for theirs instead.

Found this is a drawer this week. Was from my original 1971 Maverick.

Update: Like many Maverick owners who live in a state that requires 2-license plates, I did not want to drill holes in my front bumper. I initially attached it with cable ties until I could come up with a more permanent solution. I looked into mounts made specifically for our Mavericks but was not comfortable with the amount of cantilever between where they mounted and how far they extended forward. My solution was stainless steel strapping with stainless nuts and bolts. The plates does block a little of the cooling opening so I will watch the coolant temp. Easy to remove in a hurry if necessary.

Looking good. I love the look of the fog lights but I just don't drive at night enough.

I agree with you on the looks of the fog lights. To be honest I have not used the fog lights as yet, but I will be glad I have them when I need them.

Bedrug Impact Bed Mat: Bed Mat was a lot simpler, take out of box and roll out into bed. I was a little disappointed, I was expecting a carpet like material, instead it is more like a closed cell bubble pack. The bed mat is supposed to be attached using self-adhesive Velcro strips. Rather than using the Velcro provide, I attached the rug using the rear bed cleats and the top row of the tailgate access panel bolts. The fit is near perfect, and it does feel nice when you crawl in the bed. Time will tell how it holds up.
I wanted to do an update on the Bedrug. I was skeptical at first, but as of now I am very happy with it. It is comfortable to kneel on and is taking abuse well (pile of firewood). Using the existing Ford OME fasteners has also worked well. No need for the Velcro strips.
